Cristiano Ronaldo, 38, is arguably one of the most famous and talented professional soccer players across the globe. More than just a gifted professional athlete, Ronaldo has also won several accolades that deem him one of the most popular players among fans.

The trajectory of his career has seen him win 6 out of the 11 nominations he received for Kids’ Choice Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and ESPY Awards. Ronaldo is also a Guinness World Record breaker.

Last year and the year before that, he broke records for scoring the most goals in the men’s international category, and he was the first player to score goals at five different World Cups. In addition to his countless professional achievements, Ronaldo has been listed as the most followed famous figure on Instagram, with a whopping 612 million followers.

Ronaldo has acquitted himself as nothing short of being an incredible success story throughout his life. However, if it were not for his mother, Dolores Aveiro, changing her mind on a vital life decision, the world would have never known Ronaldo in the first place.

Before the world came to know the legend Ronaldo, Aveiro very nearly made a decision that would have ended his life before it even began. When she fell pregnant with her superstar son, she confessed:

“He was a child that I wanted to abort.”

Having been refused by doctors for help to terminate her pregnancy, Aveiro decided to take matters into her own hands. She explained how she resorted to heavy exercise and drinking homemade beer concoctions of warm ale to help with the attempted abortion.

Ronaldo and his mom share a beautiful, close, and enduring relationship, which has seen them love and support each other as mother and son through thick and thin.

However, her methods did not work, and so she ended up giving birth to a baby boy who would soon become one of the world’s greatest soccer players of all time. Of things not going according to her initial plan, Aveiro disclosed:

“God didn’t want that to happen, and I was blessed because of that.”

When Aveiro was asked what her famous son’s thoughts were after he learned about what would have happened to him, she said that he was able to joke about it, which also implies that Ronaldo ended up forgiving her. Of how her son reacted, Aveiro revealed:

“He told me when he found out, ‘Look mum, you wanted to abort and now I’m the one who’s pulling the purse-strings in the house.”

Years following her decision to have Ronaldo and after his star was on the rise, Aveiro was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. As a result, she had to have a lump removed from one of her breasts in the same year’s summer.

Reports stipulated that she then followed her surgery with a course of radiotherapy and took medication to help keep the chronic illness at bay. She had fortunately beaten the disease, but her health woes returned.

In 2019, before she traveled to Italy to celebrate her son’s 35th birthday, Aveiro admitted that she had been enduring new health complications. Of her health update, she divulged:

Though she has been facing a challenging time amid health scares, Aveiro has luckily had her doting son by her side throughout. In fact, in 2009, after she managed to beat cancer, Ronaldo donated an impressive £100,000 to the hospital that saved his mom’s life so they could build a cancer center.

Another media outlet reported that he also donated £120,000 to the Portugal-based care center that looked after Aveiro following her diagnosis. In 2020, Ronaldo dropped everything to rush to Dr Nelio Mendonca Hospital to be at his mom’s side in Madeira when she suffered a stroke.

According to sources, Aveiro’s stroke was caused by a blood clot that blocked a blood vessel in the brain (the most common form of a stroke). Aveiro was then treated via a mechanical thrombectomy and was said to be resting after recovery, though she and her family had to await further testing to evaluate her condition.

Everything Aveiro and the professional athlete have been through together has only strengthened their close bond as mother and son. They have come a long way since Aveiro nearly made that fateful decision that would have changed the entire course of both her and her son’s lives.

Just like Ronaldo has been there for his mom throughout her health woes, Aveiro has been there for her son, cheering him on relentlessly at his games, like when she cried tears of joy when he scored two out of the four goals in his team’s victory against Newcastle United. However, she also tends to get very nervous about his games at times, but her doting son reassures her that everything will be ok:

“It’s only a football game, nothing else…take it easy. No worries. No worries…”

Apart from supporting her son and his endeavors, Aveiro is also a doting grandmother. She previously spoke about one of her grandchildren (Ronaldo’s first son) and said the following about him:

“He doesn’t have anybody apart from his father and me…”

On her social media page, viewers are met with a plethora of endearing pictures of Aveiro spending time with her grandchildren. Several posts, ensuring her grandkids are well fed or protectively watching over them, show how happy Aveiro is when she is with her beloved family, especially her grandkids.

Aveiro now showers her grandchildren with the same love and affection she showered Ronaldo and his siblings with when they were growing up.

Most Hollywood stars seem to command big-budget salaries these days – but who really comes out on top when their impressive earnings are compared?

Forbes has today announced the 10 highest-paid screen stars of 2023 – in a year of mixed fortunes for the entertainment industry.

Although the world of cinema was dominated by the likes of Barbie and Oppenheimer, the writers’ and actors’ strikes put a stop to dozens of projects for six months.

But the biggest industry earners appeared to come out relatively unscathed – with the top 10 earning a staggering combined total of $449 million.

Here, FEMAIL has taken a deeper dive to see which stars are raking in the most.

Forbes has today announced the 10 highest-paid screen stars of 2023 - and acting veteran Denzel Washington secured a spot following the release of Equalizer 3 (pictured)

Forbes has today announced the 10 highest-paid screen stars of 2023 – and acting veteran Denzel Washington secured a spot following the release of Equalizer 3 (pictured)

10. Denzel Washington – $24 million ($28 million gross)

In 2023, acting veteran Denzel Washington proved that age is just a number.

The 69-year-old secured himself a spot on the list of highest-paid screen stars largely down to the third installment of vigilante thriller franchise Equalizer.

The smash hit sees the unassuming assassin takes matters into his own hands when he ‘discovers his friends are under the control of local crime bosses.’

It earned strong reviews from critics with 76 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes and scored the second-best Labor Day weekend in cinematic history.

It took in an estimated $42 million for the four-day holiday weekend frame – second only to the 2021 Marvel adventure Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, according to Deadline.

But it was not just the new release that earned Washington a spot on the list since he has a back catalog going back nearly 40 years.

Many of the titles, which date back to the 1970s, continue to produce a steady income stream for the Oscar winner.

9. Ben Affleck – $38 million ($45 million gross)

All eyes might have been on Ben Affleck’s love life in recent weeks – following the release of Jennifer Lopez’s The Greatest Love Story Never Told – but perhaps fans should have been studying his career instead.

The 51-year-old was in the top 10 Hollywood earners largely thanks to his role as CEO of studio startup Artists Equity.

He co-founded the venture with close friend Matt Damon as an ‘artist-led studio that partners with filmmakers to empower creative vision and broaden access to profit participation,’ Deadline previously reported.

This brought in a steady stream of revenue as Affleck also directed and co-starred in sports drama Air.

The film, which tells the story of sports marketing executive Sonny Vaccaro and his involvement with Nike, grossed $90 million at the box office before moving to Amazon Prime Video.

It achieved a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes rating of 93 per cent and Affleck later dished on what it was really like working with Damon on the project.

‘I love and trust Matt so much, and it was so lovely to be working together,’ he told IndieWire.

7. Jason Statham – $41 million ($48 million gross)

Notorious tough guy Jason Statham has been a stalwart of the big screen for more than 20 years – but, in 2023, his earning power was higher than ever.

The 56-year-old fronted three popular franchises – Fast X, Meg 2: The Trench and Expend4bles – which all boasted generous budgets.

But the hotly-anticipated Meg 2 turned out to be something of an anti-climax.

The critics score on Rotten Tomatoes sits at a measly 27 per cent with experts claiming it was ‘dull’ and ‘boring.’

Deadline critic Todd McCarthy bluntly stated in his review, ‘Meg 2 rather wears out its welcome very early on as it begins feeling like a tedious, repetitive joke.’

He also bashed the writers who, ‘for some reason stinted in the creation of any worthy supporting players to fill out the cast and seem uninterested in character building or even finding distinctive young actors to fill out the crew.’

Elsewhere, Statham featured in Guy Ritchie’s spy thriller Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre as Statham undertakes an undercover mission ‘when the sale of a deadly new weapons technology threatens to disrupt the world order.’

But the fan favorite shows little sign of slowing down.

His action-thriller, titled The Beekeeper, is already the highest-grossing movie of 2024.

7. Leonardo DiCaprio – $41 million ($48 million gross)

Statham’s earnings are reportedly on a par with long-time Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio.

The actor and producer, 49, boasted a healthy balance sheet last year due to his appearance in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon – despite being snubbed for the Oscar.

Forbes reported that there was also a ‘buy-out of his theatrical profit participation once the movie hits AppleTV+.’

Based on a true story, the film, which has been released today, follows a series of murders carried out against members of the Osage Nation after oil was discovered on their Oklahoma land in the 1920s.

But the movie was blasted by critics for being ‘tiresomely long.’

The Times’ Kevin Maher awarded the film a paltry two stars out of five, labelling it a ‘dud’ and ‘just not great’ partly due to its ‘paper-thin characters.’

Nonetheless, if you have ever wondered how DiCaprio might spend his fortune, it was recently revealed that the star has a priceless collection of original Star Wars toys which he goes undercover to buy.

The Titanic star uses a pseudonym to bid for rare items online as he continues to grow his beloved collection, The Sun reported.

6. Jennifer Aniston – $42 million ($56 million gross)

Friends fans will always associate Jennifer Aniston with her role as Rachel Green – but the 54-year-old has never been one to sit back and simply enjoy the residuals from the sitcom.

In 2023, she claimed her spot on the list of highest-paid stars thanks to her various performances across both the big and small screens.

Forbes revealed that the star makes as much as $2 million for acting and executive producing each episode of The Morning Show on AppleTV+.

Following the debut of season three of the show, it secured six nominations at the Critics Choice Awards.

In addition to Best Drama Series, the show earned several acting nominations including Best Actress in a Drama Series for both Jennifer and Reese.

Billy Crudup was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, while Nicole Beharie and Karen Pittman both earned nods for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Elsewhere, Aniston, who also appeared alongside Adam Sandler in Netflix’s Murder Mystery 2, landed a slew of brand deals as well.

These included being the face of brands such as Uber Eats, Pvolve Fitness, Vital Proteins. She also runs her own haircare line called LolaVie.

4. Matt Damon – $43 million ($50 million gross)

Matt Damon, who was ranked among Forbes’ most bankable stars in 2007, continues to make the cut nearly two decades later.

The actor and producer continues to serve as Chief Creative Officer at his joint venture with Affleck – with their first project being the aforementioned movie Air.

It sold to Amazon before it even went into production for an estimated $130 million, according to the outlet.

Damon, 53, also took a salary of $4 million for his part in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer after agreeing to receive a slice of the movies profits.

The biopic of the ‘father of the atomic bomb,’ which also starred the likes of Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh and Emily Blunt, grossed just over $950m.

And the three-hour epic had critics swooning.

Film critic Robbie Collin from The Telegraph raved on Twitter: ‘Am torn between being all coy and mysterious about Oppenheimer and just coming out and saying it’s a total knockout that split my brain open like a twitchy plutonium nucleus and left me sobbing through the end credits like I can’t even remember what else.’

And Vulture movie critic Bilge Ebiri gushed: ‘OPPENHEIMER is…incredible. The word that keeps coming to mind is “fearsome.”

‘A relentlessly paced, insanely detailed, intricate historical drama that builds and builds and builds until Nolan brings the hammer down in the most astonishing, shattering way.’

4. Ryan Gosling – $43 million ($50 million gross)

Ryan Gosling earned more than ‘Ken-ough’ in 2023 after being part of the cultural phenomenon that was Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.

The blockbuster, which became an instant hit following its release in July, achieved the accolade of biggest Box Office debut of the year after bringing in over $300 million on its opening weekend alone.

The 43-year-old assumed the supporting role of Barbie’s plastic sidekick – earning the star a controversial Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor as well as a healthy payday.

He issued a statement at the time after Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig failed to receive individual nominations, writing: ‘There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film.’

The cherry on top was that Gosling’s power ballad – titled I’m Just Ken – created for the movie became an instant hit and has been streamed more than 100 million times on Spotify.

3. Tom Cruise – $45 million ($53 million gross)

It seems that Tom Cruise has made it his mission to make the most out of his acting endeavors.

Forbes explained that the 61-year-old, who continues to do all his own stunts, is ‘one of the last’ onscreen stars to command the ‘first-dollar gross’ deal.

This means ‘he gets paid a percentage of box office and other revenues beginning the day it’s released, before the studio even recoups its money.’

Last year, Cruise returned to the latest Mission: Impossible movie but it did not perform as well as hoped at the box office.

It earned $78.5 after a five-day opening but, with a budget of some $290 million, Dead Reckoning Part One was left with a long way to go to recuperate costs.

The movie has received a 96 per cent critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 94 per cent audience score.

But the stuntman continued to receive healthy profits from Top Gun: Maverick (2022) from both streaming and on-demand platforms.

Cruise could be set to make the cut for next year’s list of highest-paid earners as well after signing a new development deal with Warner Bros.

2. Margot Robbie – $59 million ($78 million gross)

Australian actress Margot Robbie was also engulfed in the Barbie craze with the cinematic hit not only smashing box office records but also bringing in millions in licensing and partnerships.

The outlet suggested that the leading lady, 33, cashed in on around 12.5 per cent of all ‘back-end’ profits that are estimated to total more than $60 million.

Her production company was also behind Saltburn starring Barry Keoghan and Barry Keoghan and signed a new exclusive first-look feature film deal with Warner Bros.

Earlier this year, the blonde bombshell announced that she was planning to take a step back from acting following the success of Barbie.

She told Deadline about her ambitions to work off-screen before adding: ‘I also think everyone’s probably sick of the sight of me for now. I should probably disappear from screens for a while.’

1. Adam Sandler – $73 million ($97 million gross)

It may come as a surprise to many but Adam Sandler, 57, came out on top as the highest-paid screen star for 2023.

But a quick glimpse at his schedule makes it clear to see why – starting with the release of Murder Mystery 2.

The comedian resumed his role in the hotly-anticipated sequel which the streaming platform said was watched for a total of 173 million hours across the world in the three months following its release in March.

It also ranked in the Top 10 on the site across 90 different countries.

But, despite audiences lapping up the detective comedy, critics reviews were mixed – being both panned and praised for its lowbrow humor.

In Peter Travers’ review for Good Morning America, he slammed the ‘nothingburger’ movie, saying Aniston and Sandler’s chemistry was ruined by the ‘dialogue from the playbook of sitcom cliches.’

‘One of those new AI bots like ChatGPT could have coughed up a script with more personality,’ the film critic wrote.

Johnny Oleksinski at the New York Post agreed, dubbing the sequel ‘painfully uninteresting’ and ‘nothing more than a free vacation’ for Aniston and Sandler.

However, others appreciated the screwball action-adventure comedy, which has its main characters jetting off to nondescript private island and Paris, for what it is, especially in the wake of the pandemic.

New York Times critic Brandon Yu called it an ‘innocuous sequel’ but felt the film’s stars gave it a slight boost.

‘Sandler and Aniston maintain a charming midcareer looseness, and have a palpable affability as a duo — one can sense the fun they had making such silliness, even if the result isn’t gold,’ he wrote. ‘You could do worse for something to turn on while making dinner.’

Beyond that, however, Sandler also committed to more than 40 stand-up comedy tour dates in 2023 to go with three Netflix film projects.

It seems his career efforts have not gone unnoticed by his adoring fans because, earlier this year, he was awarded the People’s Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.

A nine-month-old baby girl has suffered severe third-degree burns after a bottle warmer allegedly spilled all over her body while she was at daycare.

The family of little Addison Starnes from Concord, North Carolina, was informed that their child will need two surgeries to repair her horrifically burned skin.

The incident allegedly occurred while she was in childcare at Concord Children’s Academy on February 28. Addison suffered third-degree burns on her chin, neck, stomach, chest, arms, legs, and back.

Attorneys for the family said: ‘We believe that Addison was in a highchair waiting to receive her bottle, when a bottle warmer was overturned, causing the water in the warmer to spill and severely burn Addison.’

Addison was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist to the Pediatric ICU burn center, where she is currently receiving treatment.

‘Addison’s family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers,’ the family’s attorney statement continued.

The initial call was made to 911 at 7:45 am. Upon arrival, first responders considered airlifting the infant to Chapel Hill or Winston-Salem, given the severity of the sustained injuries.

The baby’s family told WGHP that Addison’s first surgery is expected to take place towards the end of this week, where she will have a skin graft done followed by physical therapy.

The second surgery is expected to happen sometime next week.

A GoFundMe has been made for Addison by family member, Brooklyn Starnes, who confirmed that the baby’s burns covered more than 20 percent of her body.

‘We are trying to help anyway we can as both of them are out of work along with having two other small children who still need to be cared for and as we all know bills don’t stop even in an emergency like this,’ said the description of the GoFundMe.

WGHP found that the Department of Health and Human Services previously raised concerns regarding first-aid training at the daycare.

Representatives from DHHS did not confirm whether or not they were going to pursue and investigation with the daycare.

Some staff members at Concord Children’s Academy had not updated their first aid and/or CPR training, according to an October report.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Concord Children’s Academy, who previously refused to comment on the situation.

The family of an 11-year-old boy who died at a sleepover have warned other parents about a challenge circulating online that encourages the inhalation of toxic fumes.

Tommie-lee Gracie Billington died on Saturday, March 2, after being found unresponsive by paramedics at a friend’s house at Greenset Close, Lancaster.

The schoolboy died after allegedly taking part in a dangerous social media challenge, his family claimed today.

Tommie-lee’s grandmother, Tina Burns, has today spoken out about the death of her grandson, claiming he ‘died instantly’ at a sleepover where he and a friend had ‘tried the TikTok craze chroming’.

The teaching assistant said the family want TikTok ‘taken down’ and for children under the age of 16 to be banned from using social media.

Chroming has been used as a slang term to describe the trend of inhaling toxic fumes to get a high since before TikTok’s launch in the UK in 2018. The social media platform has also blocked any videos or searches using the term.

Tina told the Lancashire Post: ‘We don’t want any other children to follow TikTok or be on social media.

‘In fact, we want to get TikTok taken down and no children to be allowed on any social media under 16 years of age.

‘This is breaking us all but we want to help save other children’s lives and give families awareness to keep their children safe.’

Lancashire Police was called to the scene by North West Ambulance Service shortly after 12pm. The boy was transferred to hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The grandmother said she had received many messages from other parents ‘thanking her’ for raising awareness of the challenge.

Tina said she knew of one woman who had ‘no idea’ about the social media crazes and her children ‘happily’ sit on TikTok in their bedrooms.

‘She has now removed all social media from their devices and is so grateful that we are openly talking about it,’ the teacher added.

Tina, who works with year five and six, has also spoken to the headteacher at the school where she works, in order to spread the message even further to other educational institutions in the area.

She paid tribute to her grandson and told the outlet that he had a ‘heart of gold,’ adding that the family have been left ‘utterly devastated’ by the loss of Tommie-lee, who was ‘bright’, ‘energetic’ and the ‘life and soul of any room’.

The word ‘chroming’ is an informal word that originates from Australia. It involves inhaling fumes from a toxic source such as an aerosol can, a spray deodorant or a paint container.

Inhaling the fumes affects the central nervous system and slows down brain activity which results in a short-term high.

But the practice is extremely dangerous and can result in dizziness, hallucinations, vomiting, heart attacks, suffocation and can permanently damage the brain, liver and kidneys.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: ‘We were called by the ambulance service at 12:04pm on Saturday, March 2, to an address on Greenset Close in Lancaster to a report of a sudden death.

‘Emergency services attended an address and found an 11 year old boy unresponsive. Sadly he was later pronounced dead.

‘The death is currently being treated as unexplained and the Coroner has been informed.

‘A police investigation is ongoing and the boy’s family are being supported by officers. Our thoughts are with the boy’s loved ones at this incredibly sad time.

‘If anyone has any information they are asked to contact Police on 101 Log 0527 of March 2.’

Gary Sinise’s son, Mac Sinise, died at the age of 33 after a long illness with a rare form of cancer. The Gary Sinise Foundation published a tribute announcing that Mac died on January 6, 2024.

Mac was laid to rest on January 23, 2024. Gary spoke of how bravely his son fought an uphill battle with a cancer that had no cure. The “CSI: New York” star was proud, fortunate, and blessed to be Mac’s dad.

In a long and emotional tribute, Gary opened up about Mac’s life. He revealed that his son had been playing drums since he was nine years old. As an exceptional drummer, Mac would substitute for Gary’s drummer, Danny Gottlieb. He would play drums at “CSI: New York.” rap parties with the Lt. Dan Band.

He sweetly recalled, “Those were some great times, father and son rockin’ out together for the troops.” However, Gary’s family was rocked when mother and son were diagnosed with cancer within months of each other.

The summer of 2018 posed significant challenges for Gary’s family. In June of that year, his wife Moira Harris, received a diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer. Following lymph node surgery, she commenced chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Then, on August 8, 2018, Gary’s family received the startling news of Mac’s diagnosis with a rare cancer called Chordoma. This revelation left them reeling, as they grappled with the rarity and severity of the disease.

Gary dived online and found out that Chordoma, a cancer originating in the spine, is exceedingly rare, affecting approximately 300 individuals in the United States annually.

He also learned that while 70% of cases allow for successful removal of the initial tumor and subsequent cure, the remaining 30% face the distressing possibility of cancer recurrence, presenting a daunting challenge for his family.

Luckily, Gary’s wife went into treatment and was soon in remission. Her cancer hasn’t returned since. However, for Mac, the battle was harder. Following the surgery to eliminate the initial tumor in September 2018, Mac underwent an additional spinal procedure in February 2019 to deal with what appeared to be an infection.

Even as the cancer fight got harder in 2019, Mac still went to the Gary Sinise Foundation’s offices. He stopped going to the office in 2019 after a third spine surgery in November 2019. Before he was diagnosed with cancer, Mac’s position at the foundation was the Assistant Manager of Education and Outreach as of February 27, 2017.

Gary’s son’s responsibilities involved managing the Gary Sinise Foundation archive, digitizing materials, and overseeing operations at the foundation’s Education & Outreach Center. This included organizing events, conducting tours, engaging with donors, and reaching out to military service members, veterans, first responders, and their families who received the foundation’s support.

His commitment shone through as he successfully conducted two interviews, one with the foundation’s video producer, Kip Perry, and another with Gary himself. However, in January 2020, on the eve of his fourth spine surgery, Mac recognized the need to step away temporarily from the foundation duties to focus on his health.

As Mac continued his relentless fight against Chordoma, friends and family wanted to help. So, the family created the page “Team Mac,” where they could raise funds for the highly-required research to find treatments for this rare orphan cancer.

Mac’s condition worsened when the cancer paralyzed him from the chest down. Due to his disability, he couldn’t play drums and piano anymore. This was a blow to Mac, who was a graduate of the USC Thorton School of Music. At school, he also played drums and studied songwriting and composition. At one point, he played drums at their home’s garage.

Gary recounted how Mac, in 2023, despite his health challenges, found inspiration to revisit a piece of music called “Arctic Circles” that he had composed during his college years but never completed. Mac dubbed his piece “Arctic Circles” as a nod to the wintery nature documentaries that brought him solace during his hospital stays.

Eager to bring the project to fruition, Mac reached out to Dan Myers, the violinist and singer for Gary’s Lt. Dan Band, for collaboration. Despite being paralyzed from the chest down due to cancer, Mac persisted in working on the piece, utilizing his limited mobility.

He either worked from his hospital bed at home or in his wheelchair. With a stylus attached to his right hand and a small keyboard on his hospital bed table, Mac found ways to input ideas and refine his music, demonstrating his resilience and determination.

In April 2023, Dan suggested reaching out to pianist Ben Lewis, a longtime friend and fellow bandmate. Mac then got in touch with his college friend, composer, and arranger Oliver Schnee. By June 2023, Mac shared a scratch piano track of “Arctic Circles” recorded by Ben with Oliver.

Impressed, Oliver agreed to help finish it, and they began collaborating. After exchanging notes and fine-tuning, Oliver completed a stunning arrangement. Mac chose July 17, 2023, for the recording session, coinciding with his sister Sophie’s visit.

The session was booked at the renowned Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, with Mac financing it himself. Oliver and his father, acclaimed recording engineer and producer Bill Schnee, organized top studio musicians, and Bill oversaw the mixing board.

Mac continued pursuing his love for music as he battled cancer. However, with drumming no longer an option, his mother recommended he try the harmonica. Embracing the suggestion, Mac began teaching himself to play.

Gary, who was inspired by a story from his friend Sammy L. Davis, a Medal of Honor recipient and harmonica player, showed Mac a video of Sammy playing “Shenandoah.” This clip encouraged Mac to learn the tune and he mastered it beautifully.

Gary was impressed by Mac’s rendition, so, he proposed the idea of arranging strings to accompany him. Since Oliver was already orchestrating “Arctic Circles,” Gary thought it made sense to include “Shenandoah” as well.

This collaboration sparked Mac’s vision for an entire album titled “Resurrection & Revival,” centered on the theme of revitalizing old or unfinished works. Mac stayed on a mission to accomplish his vision as much as cancer was a burden for him and his family. His efforts paid off as his full album will soon be available.

Mac was excited to share the album with the world but he couldn’t as the week the album went to press, he departed from this world. Mac celebrated his last birthday during a recording session at Blackbird Studios.

Until Gary’ Sinise’s live interview with Raymond Arroyo on December 29, 2023, the actor had not publicly addressed Mac’s difficult battle.

Sadly, on December 30, 2023, the day after Gary’s interview with Raymond, Mac was rushed to the emergency room due to difficulty breathing. Despite stabilizing him, he was admitted to the hospital. Gary remained by his side, hoping for a routine stay and a return home.

During those initial days, Mac shared his interview with hospital staff, delighted by their reactions to his music videos on his YouTube Channel. However, as the days passed, his condition worsened. On January 5, 2024, at 3:25 a.m., surrounded by his family, he peacefully succumbed to his battle with Chordoma.

Gary’s family expressed gratitude for all those who have extended help, love, and support during their challenging time. They thanked Mac’s caregivers Mimi and Lulu. The family also noted that Mac was known for his deep devotion to his Catholic faith.

This commitment undoubtedly provided him with strength throughout his arduous five-and-a-half-year struggle against the debilitating Chordoma cancer. The family disclosed that Mac’s favorite quote from St. Augustine was, “You have made us for yourself oh Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.”

As much as Mac’s family deeply mourns his absence, they find solace in the knowledge that he is now free from his suffering. They are inspired and touched by his remarkable resilience throughout his ordeal especially, since Mac was always focusing on what he could do, and never on what he couldn’t.

Despite facing an insurmountable battle against cancer with no cure, Mac never gave up. His family recognized that his love for movies often drew comparisons to the resilient soldier in the poignant film “1917.”

Like the soldier enduring relentless bombardment on the battlefield, Mac continually rose after each setback, refusing to surrender and pressing onward. Now, with his demise, his family who loves and dearly misses him find comfort in the fact that their loved one is no longer in pain.

One of the most fatal cancer type is colorectal cancer. 140,000 people have been diagnosed with this type of cancer in 2016 alone. One of the main reasons why this cancer is so deadly is its late detection, which happens due to ignoring the warning signs.

Here are the most common warning signs that your body gives you when its fighting colorectal cancer.

Cramps

Even though they are very common with various other conditions, when they last for a longer period of time, it could be a potential colon cancer symptom.

Fatigue

Another symptom common for many health issues, which it is often overlooked as a colorectal cancer symptom. If you lead a healthy lifestyle and get enough sleep, but you still experience fatigue combined with other colorectal cancer symptoms, then it’s time you visit your doctor.

Fatigue and cancer have a strong link because the disease uses up all of your body’s energy. Moreover, fatigue due to colon cancer is usually accompanied by loss of blood.

Unexplained weight loss

If you experience an unintentional loss of 5% or more of your weight within 6 months, then it’s a clear sign that something is terribly wrong. This happens because cancer cells use the energy of the body as fuel, which affects the immune system and causes weight loss.

Colon cancer patients often have a big tumor blocking the colon, thus bowel movements are disrupted and weight loss occurs.

Irregular bowel movements

The colon polyps can turn cancerous over time and affect your bowel movements. They can also influence your large intestine function and cause stool changes.

Tragically, the ATV flipped, resulting in a fatal injury to his head. Hobbs described how she desperately sought help from neighbors to lift the ATV off her son, to no avail. “By that time, I realized he wasn’t alive anymore,” she lamented.

Hobbs spoke poignantly of her only son, whom she referred to as the source of her strength and the person who grounds her, expressing the profound impact of his loss on her life.

Garinger gained significant attention when he starred on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” Season 6B as the father of Selena Gutierrez’s children. They had two children, Dareli and Esmi, whom they loved and cared for despite their relationship struggles and allegations of infidelity.

When they were still a couple, they lived in Arizona with Hobbs. Gutierrez revealed that she would often be alone with the kids as Garinger would go to work.

In fact, Garinger and his mother had just returned from a car dealership before his accident, with plans to purchase a vehicle so Garinger could visit his daughters in Colorado, where Gutierrez resides. However, fate had other plans, as they never returned to the dealership.

Garinger and Gutierrez had been separated for a while and had already moved on from their relationship when he passed away. However, Garinger was reportedly close to her family and would visit his kids.

Sadly, another face in the entertainment scene recently passed away. WWE legend “Virgil” Michael Jones died at 61 years old.

The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has been seen for the first time with her mother in over two months since her planned abdominal surgery prevented her from participating in public engagements. Photos taken of the princess ignited a whirlwind of speculation on social media.

Kate Middleton was recently spotted for the first time as she recovered in private from a planned abdominal surgery. This sighting comes after more than two months of absence from the public eye.

Witnesses caught a glimpse of the princess sitting in the passenger seat of a black Audi SUV. Her mother, Carole Middleton, at the wheel, as they drove near Windsor Castle. Kate, donning a pair of dark sunglasses that covered her eyes, was without other family members or security during this outing.

This appearance quickly became a topic of conversation on social media, where photographs of Kate circulated, sparking various reactions. Among the comments, skepticism about the identity of the person in the photographs was rampant.

One user questioned the authenticity, stating“That’s not her. Nice try though,” while another humorously suggested, “It’s a wax sculpture.”

Adding to the confusion, several social media users were convinced the individual in the car was Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, leading to comments such as “Looks like Pippa, not Catherine,” “That is not Kate that is pippa [sic],” “I think that looks a bit like her sister,” and “The woman in the picture has a striking resemblance to her sister. Pippa. I don’t think it is Kate.”

Speculation didn’t stop at mistaken identity; others believed that the princess had undergone plastic surgery. Comments reflecting this theory included direct accusations, such as, “She has plastic surgery,” and queries like “Did she get a facelift,” and suspicions about photo manipulation, “Did you blur it so we couldn’t see the bandage on her nose?”

Kate’s last public appearance prior to her surgery was documented on December 25, 2023, when she and her husband, Prince William, attended a Christmas event at church. Following her last public appearance, the next update about Kate was related to her undergoing abdominal surgery.

The absence of detailed information regarding her condition without further elaboration has since fueled public curiosity.

Buckingham Palace’s brief update, stating Kate would be hospitalized for approximately two weeks and wouldn’t resume her duties until about Easter, did little to quell speculation. Last week, the palace sought to reassure the public of her recovery progress amidst rampant online conjecture.

Given the scarcity of details on Kate’s health, speculation has run rife, with the palace’s representatives addressing conspiracy theories about her whereabouts post-surgery.

“Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates,” Kate’s representative revealed. Meanwhile, the palace emphasized again at that time that Kate was “doing well.”

Prince William continues his public engagements, including a recent solo appearance at the BAFTA Film Awards. His attendance not only underscored his ongoing support for the arts but also brought attention to Kate’s health struggles.

Apologizing for his wife’s absence, William expressed regret that she couldn’t join him, noting her fondness for the BAFTAs. This moment of candidness offered a rare insight into the personal challenges the couple faces, underscoring the adjustments required during Kate’s recovery period at their Windsor home.

As previously reported on February 29:

It’s been over two months since the Princess of Wales was last seen in public during the royal family’s traditional Christmas morning service at Sandringham last year.

Following this, Kensington Palace announced on January 17, 2024, that the Princess was admitted to the hospital for “planned abdominal surgery,” necessitating a period of rest. Consequently, Princess Catherine’s public engagements have been paused, with expectations set for her return to royal duties after Easter.

During her last public appearance before the surgery, the Princess was seen walking to the St. Mary Magdalene Church in the royal family’s estate in Norfolk, England. She was among royal family members, including Prince William and their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Alexander married his wife Audrey Diamont on July 23, 2022, and they announced their pregnancy in August of the following year. Coincidentally or not, the baby boy was named August.

August is a name with Latin origins. It means “great” or “magnificent.” While the name is not gender-neutral, it is sometimes used for girls. It is also said to be an ancient Roman name.

As Don Diamont welcomes one more boy into his big family, he had once opened up about his past tragedies. The actor lost his dad and older brother before becoming a parent to seven boys.

“I was profoundly hurt and affected by my dad and brother being taken from me so soon. I didn’t see it coming. It was not how I envisioned life,” he said in an interview.

“I thought they’d be there to meet my wife, my children, and to share experiences. That was just gone almost in the blink of an eye. Those scars remain. I wanted children. I wanted back what was taken from me. I wanted to recreate that. I have been rewarded many times over,” he continued.

Diamont is rewarded once again with the arrival of August into his family. The actor still welcomes his stepsons from the previous marriage to Rachel Braun. He considers Lauren and Sasha part of his family.

“It was crucial for me that these guys understand that I was leaving their mother but I wasn’t leaving them. I will always be there for them. I’m here, and I’ll always be here,” said Diamont.

With his first grandkid on the scene, Don Diamont is over the moon about his growing family. As he works in daytime television, he would have time to spend with his grandchild as he once said, “My wife and I, we’re homebodies. Working in daytime has allowed me to have a very normal, more or less 9-to-5 kind of a life.”
