Recently, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s 15-year-old made the public aware at a family event that they have a new name: Fin Affleck. This happened at a memorial service for Jennifer’s dad, William Jack Garner, held at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, West Virginia.

This was the first time Fin used their new name in public. Wearing a chic black suit and sporting a buzz-cut hairstyle, Fin—previously known as Seraphina Rose Affleck—approached the lectern and introduced themselves with, “Hello my name is Fin Affleck.”

Fin then proceeded to read a verse from the Bible that highlights how qualities like benevolence and honesty outweigh the materialistic value of being a bad person with a lot of wealth.

The service was to remember Jennifer’s dad who had died a week before at 85 years old. Jennifer had initially publicized her father’s passing by posting a tribute to him on Instagram, which mentioned how kind, strong, and doting he was.

She also emphasized how much of an impactful life he led and spoke about the lasting legacy he created for his family, a legacy which is now passed down to Fin and their siblings.

As the middle child of three, Fin has an older sister, Violet Affleck, who is 18, and a younger brother, Samuel Affleck, who is 12. Though their parents separated in 2015 and officially divorced in 2018, they still get along well for the sake of their children.

In 2022, Ben married famous musician, Jennifer Lopez, blending both of their families with the addition of Jennifer’s twins Emme and Max Muñiz. Like their stepsibling Fin, whom they share a great relationship with, Emme uses they/them pronouns.

Fin’s new name is a big change from their original name, Seraphina, which means “ardent” and “fiery” in Hebrew. It is also commonly used as a nickname for names like Finegan, Serafin, and Finian. According to a media source, their name was inspired by Seraphim angels and is one of the top-searched names on Nameberry.

The same source explains that these angels hold particular significance because of their six wings and the fact that they are the “highest-ranking angels.” In choosing the name for their teen, Jennifer Garner and Ben made it popular in contemporary spaces.

Drawing back to Fin’s journey of self-discovery, in them boldly asserting how they want to be addressed, Fin follows the same path as many other celebrity kids. This path sees them choose how they want to tell their own stories about who they are.

Though their name might be new, this change is not the first time Fin has boldly embraced her self-identity. Earlier this year, they were seen rocking a vibrant hairstyle, exhibiting another form of self-expression.

They debuted a pink buzz cut, igniting a spectrum of reactions on social media. The change was revealed during a family outing in West Hollywood.

Others expressed concerns about youth trends, with remarks such as, “They are destroying the youth in society today. Unfortunately, the parents are allowing it to happen.” Some comments, however, celebrated this phase of exploration, stating“Totally normal youth behavior. Just deal,” and “I love her hair!”

Though their hair color was new, the teen was spotted sporting a buzz cut a few days earlier, which we previously reported on February 9. Fin was photographed while waiting for their school bus with their mom.

Photos shared online showed Fin wearing jeans, a beige sweater, and an olive-colored backpack, sporting a buzz cut. This edgy hairstyle change came after the teenager, who also wore earphones, was seen with a bob late last year. Images of Fin, born on January 6, 2009, prompted diverse comments from the public.

Of the young adolescent’s appearance, one person noted“She looks like her dad with that shaved hair.” Similarly, another reiterated“She looks like her father.” Someone else stated“Sad what happened to this kid.”

Other social media users praised Fin’s hair, citing their opinions that they look good with a buzz cut. In this regard, one fan gushed“It looks so cute on her!! So many women shave their heads in fashion.”

An admirer swooned“Very adorable 💜.” Another social media user expressed“Paying homage to Demi Moore! Showing her own style! I say a little color will make it pop!”

Although Fin, whose doting parents revealed their lovely name to media outlets seven days after they were born, has garnered significant traction online, they do not have a social media account. This decision was previously discussed by Jennifer Garner, who has kept her children off of social media.

Last year, Jennifer shared a conversation she had with her children. The “13 Going on 30” star divulged“I just said to my kids, ‘Show me the articles that prove that social media is good for teenagers, and then we’ll have that conversation.'”

Jennifer went on to say that so far, her eldest daughter, Violet, has been appreciative of her mom’s decision not to allow them on social media. As a mother of two kids in their teens and with a son on the verge of teenagehood, the loving mom understands how “hard” it is “to be an adolescent.”

As far as how Violet, Fin, and Samuel’s doting dad feels about social media, the “Air” talent previously expressed, “I got to a place where [the public perception] was so different from who I am that I just stopped reading and stopped caring.”

However, Ben also spoke about the difficulty he experiences as his children get older and get more exposed to the internet. He specifically mentioned the false rhetoric that he is miserable based on pictures of his facial expressions.

For years he was bullied because of his appearance, but as news spread about him online, one young boy became famous worldwide. This year he looked dapper as he started a new school term against all odds

According to his mother, Zanziman Ellie was a miracle baby. After many unsuccessful attempts, she finally gained the child she desperately wanted. Born with microcephaly, Ellie is one of a kind.

His condition has affected his features, and he has a smaller head than the average child. Throughout his life, he has been ridiculed for this. To escape the torment, he lived in the Rwandan jungle with his mom.

THE ONLINE COMMUNITY SUPPORTS ELLIE

Ellie never imagined that his unique looks would one day be why he was given a chance in life. While many from his community turned their backs on Ellie and shunned him, people online took an interest and decided to take action.

After a documentary about the young man was broadcasted on TV, a GoFundMe page was created to help get him the support and assistance he needed. People quickly reached out and offered Ellie and his mother the means to improve their lives.

GIVEN A SPECIAL EDUCATION

Ellie was also given the opportunity to get special education. Due to his condition, he has had issues with his mental capabilities. Now, he is a student at Ubumwe Community Center, Gisenyi, Rwanda.

For his first day at school, his sponsors also organized a special surprise. Ellie was spoilt with a dapper suit. It came complete with a waistcoat and jacket. He was beaming with joy as he wore the charming outfit.

“HAVING A GOOD LIFE”

Ellie’s mother thanked God for changing their lives. The mother expressed: “He was being ridiculed, and I would often run after him. At the moment, he is in school with his peers, and I am so happy. My son is having a good life.”

She was also given a home and stated that all of her former pain and anguish had been taken away. Ellie is a star, and he has come a long way since the days when bullies used to get him down

THE ONLINE REACTION

Netizens online were inspired by his story and praised those who helped him. One user wrote: “Imagine how happy his mom is right now, seeing her kid from being excluded from the society for years, to him being so happy right now.”

Another added“This is what the internet should be used for!” Commenters wished him well and hoped that there would be no more bullying in his future. Now Ellie is ready to take on the world with his dazzling smile and fancy new suit!

A former child star managed to stay out of the spotlight for years, despite a brush with the law. He now sports a beard, making him hardly recognizable to his fans.

The star rose to fame with his moving role in “Forrest Gump” as the son of the title character. This actor became a beloved figure in American cinema.

Each year has marked a big step in his journey. This is true not in his chosen roles but in his physical change. He has become almost unrecognizable from his days as a child star.

A man adopted a dog from a shelter, and in return, the dog performed an equally worthy act of respect. It’s a touching tale of dedication and canine loyalty. In the fall, a man named Brian Myers went to an animal shelter to adopt a pet. Almost immediately, he noticed a German Shepherd dog.The dog was then six years old and named Sadie. Her previous owner had abandoned her after moving because the landlord didn’t allow pets. Brian was warned that the animal was distrustful and quite nervous in the presence of men, but he managed to establish contact almost immediately with the German Shepherd and form a special bond. From their first encounter, Sadie put her paws on Brian’s shoulders and began licking his face, as if thanking him for his unexpected rescue.Myers and Sadie became friends, and she liked to sleep at the feet of her new owner. Brian contracted the COVID-19 virus. He managed to overcome the illness, but it likely affected his health. One night, he got out of bed to go to the bathroom but didn’t make it.Myers suddenly collapsed to the floor and couldn’t move. That’s when Sadie intervened: she licked the man’s face, preventing him from losing consciousness. Brian managed to grab the collar of his four-legged friend. At that moment, the dog began pulling him toward the table where the phone was. The man was able to grab his cell phone and call emergency services.

Hollywood has seen its fair share of beauty icons, but not all legacies are inherited. Many stars of the ’80s, renowned for their striking appearances, now have daughters who present a unique charm all their own. Here’s a look at their stories.

In the 1980s, several female stars not only dazzled on screen but also captured hearts with their stunning looks. Decades later, these stars have embraced motherhood, introducing daughters who exhibit their distinct brand of beauty, different from that of their mothers.

From Jaclyn Smith to Tina Louise and Kathleen Turner, let’s explore how these famous figures from yesteryears have transitioned from screen sirens to proud mothers, with children who mirror a beauty unlike their own.

Jaclyn Smith and Spencer Margaret Richmond

At 78, beloved veteran actress Jaclyn Smith remains widely recognized for her memorable role in the television hit “Charlie’s Angels,” which aired from 1976 to 1981.

In December 1985, four years after the show concluded, she welcomed her daughter Spencer Margaret Richmond. Now 38, Richmond is the youngest of Smith’s two children, with an older brother, Gaston Richmond.

In a 2008 interview, Smith shared her views on balancing work and family. “Family is always first. Even though my kids are older—my son is 25 and my daughter is 21—I still like to sit down and have dinner with them as much as I can,” she expressed.

This home-focused lifestyle also led to a creative venture; in August 2017, Smith and her daughter launched the infant wear line, Spencer by Jaclyn Smith.

Richmond expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting its significance as a new mother herself. “As a new mom, I know the importance of finding the right staples for your baby. I saw this collaboration as a great opportunity to create affordable, durable, and ultra-soft baby wear options,” she explained.

Aside from collaborating with her famous mom, Richmond also looks slightly different from her. Early photographs of Smith holding a young Richmond show the doting mother’s soft features including cheekbones, visible eyebrows, and curly hair. Meanwhile, Richmond displayed round cheeks and curly hair.

As adults standing side by side, the contrast becomes more evident. Richmond sports a rounder face, fuller lips, and a straight nose, while mom maintains her high cheekbones and slim face.

Over the years, photos consistently show these differences, with Spencer’s features remaining softer compared to Smith’s more defined jawline and cheekbones.

Shelley Long and Juliana Long Tyson

Best known for her portrayal of Diane Chambers on “Cheers,” Shelley Long, 74, has garnered an Emmy and two Golden Globes throughout her illustrious career. The show spanned from 1982 until 1993, during which Long took a break to focus on her family, welcoming her daughter Juliana Long Tyson in March 1985.

Today, at 39, Tyson is the CEO and Creative Director of Good Juju Ink, per her LinkedIn profile. It is a decade-old illustration design company based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

She is not just a businesswoman but also deeply family-oriented, having married her childhood neighbor, John Kissick, in 2015. The couple reconnected nearly twenty years after first knowing each other. Juliana, originally from Pacific Palisades, now lives in Oakland, California.

In addition to her life now, Tyson has turned out differently compared to her mother in terms of physical appearance. Long’s facial features include a broad forehead and a noticeable smile.

Meanwhile, Tyson’s facial structure is more oval compared to her mother’s more rounded face. Notably, her eyes are wide and her cheekbones are more pronounced. Both mother-and-daughter duo have a bright, engaging smile.

Kathleen Turner and Rachel Ann Weiss

Kathleen Turner, 69, became a household name with the 1981 thriller “Body Heat.” The actress welcomed her daughter Rachel Ann Weiss six years after the film’s release. Weiss, now 36, followed in her mother’s footsteps by venturing into acting, with roles in films such as “Little Monsters” and “The Balancing Act.”

Turner has always supported her daughter’s career in both acting and music. In a 2013 interview, Weiss mentioned that her mom attended all of her performances whenever possible

Five years later in 2018, Turner shared she imparted crucial life lessons to her daughter. The star emphasized bravery and the importance of speaking up, especially in the challenging show business environment. “Be brave,” she advised, a testament to her own experiences with discrimination in her career.

While living their lives in the spotlight, it has become apparent that the mother-and-daughter duo do not look that much alike. Images depict Turner with a wider face and a distinct jawline, while her daughter Weiss appears with a slimmer face and higher cheekbones.

As Turner’s features softened with age, maintaining a broad facial structure, Weiss’s face remained narrow with more pronounced features. This shows a blend of her mother’s traits but with her unique distinctions.

Joan Van Ark and Vanessa Marshall

Joan Van Ark, 80, known for her role in the soap opera “Dallas” and its spin-off “Knots Landing,” was already a mother when these series began. Her daughter, Vanessa Marshall, born in October 1969, grew up to pursue a career in acting too.

Marshall, who remains proud of her mom’s efforts in the entertainment industry, particularly does voice acting. She has notable roles in “Wonder Woman” and “Star Wars Rebels.

In addition to working in the same industry, Marshall and Van Ark share a striking resemblance. They both possess slim faces and pronounced cheekbones, though Marshall has slightly fuller cheeks and a broader smile.

Tina Louise and Caprice Crane

Tina Louise is iconic for her role as Ginger Grant in “Gilligan’s Island” and is the surviving member of the cast. The 90-year-old chose family life over fame following the show’s conclusion in 1967. Three years later, the veteran star disappeared from the limelight. Since the early 1970s, she did not appear on-screen, and people wondered where she was.

It was not until 1973 that the veteran star explained why she had not been working. Louise revealed she became a parent during that time, having welcomed her daughter Caprice Crane in November 1970.

The TV star further explained she had to decide between being a working mother or caring for her child. At the time she talked about her hiatus, Crane was already in nursery school, giving Louise leeway to get back to work again.

She acknowledged that she had to make a living to support herself and expressed excitement at returning to the big screen. Things had changed for the better; Louise saw herself doing much more than acting like modeling or doing commercials.

Meanwhile, unlike her famous mom, Crane took a different path in the industry. She began working behind the camera as a screenwriter and has credits in shows like the “90210” and “Melrose Place” reboots. The brunette also achieved success as a novelist.

Besides work, Crane has expressed immense adoration for her mom. She paid a birthday tribute to her in February 2023 alongside a lengthy heartwarming message and a throwback photo.

Crane captioned her post: “Happy happy birthday to my beautiful mama! I’m grateful every day that I can pick up the phone and call you…You are the most precious mama and YaYa and we all love you more than you can possibly imagine.”

Louise has embraced her role as a mother and grandmother, often sharing heartfelt moments with her family on social media. In a 2022 post, she described the joy of attending her grandchildren’s birthday party. “Best children’s birthday party I have ever been to! So much fun! My daughter Caprice Crane did a super job planning,” Louise wrote.

Over the years Louise has been pictured with her daughter and the photos show how much the pair look different from each other. In their early photo, Louise’s face is heart-shaped with high cheekbones and a distinct jawline.

In contrast, Crane has a youthful appearance with rounded cheeks and a less visible jaw. As she matures, her facial structure elongates and her cheekbones become more defined, creating a sharper contrast with her mother’s heart-shaped contour and prominent jaw.

Later images showcase Crane’s evolution, with her facial features developing a more apparent definition, distinct from Louise’s softer yet structured facial aesthetics. In the most recent photos, her face has matured with a stronger bone structure, featuring a more prominent chin and angular lines that set her apart from her mother’s classic features.

Beverly D’Angelo and Olivia Pacino

Beverly D’Angelo, 72, is an actress who starred in the “National Lampoon’s Vacation” series. She later had twins with actor Al Pacino in January 2001. Their daughter, Olivia Pacino, now 23, represents a new generation carrying forward her mother’s artistic spirit.

D’Angelo’s reflections on motherhood and co-parenting highlight her deep connection to her family. This is despite the challenges that came with raising twins as a single parent from the age of 51.

She and the acclaimed actor had a bitter custody battle following their split but have since mended fences. This experience prompted D’Angelo to reflect. She said, “When you focus on getting pregnant, you can lose the perspective that you’re creating a family and a responsibility to a child’s future.”

Since D’Angelo and her ex decided to put their differences behind them, she has focused on being a better mom for their children. The star’s only daughter is now a young woman who has her own attractive features compared to hers.

Photos show D’Angelo with a rounder face and fuller cheeks. While Pacino presents with an oval face and higher cheekbones, illustrating subtle yet distinct differences from her mother.

Catherine Bach and Sophia and Laura Lopez

Catherine Bach, known as Daisy Duke from “The Dukes of Hazzard,” faced personal tragedies and triumphs. After the show, she endured a tumultuous personal life, including the loss of her husband Peter Lopez in 2010.

Bach found solace in faith and her daughters, Sophia Lopez, 28, and Laura Lopez, 25. Today, as her daughters forge their paths—Laura as a real estate agent—Bach continues to be a pillar of strength and resilience for her family.

Aside from flourishing, Bach’s daughters show differences in facial features—both having softer, rounder faces. This is in contrast to their mother’s more defined features, evident in a series of photographs over time.

As time passes, the Hollywood star’s daughters continue to show softer features. Meanwhile, Bach’s defined features gently distinguish her from Sophia and Laura.

Kelly LeBrock and Arissa LeBrock

Kelly LeBrock debuted in the film “The Woman in Red” and starred alongside Steven Seagal in “Hard to Kill.” LeBrock and Seagal were more than just co-stars. The pair married in 1987 and welcomed their first child, Annaliza Seagal, 37, that same year.

The couple expanded their family when they had their son Dominic Seagal in June 1990 followed by their youngest daughter, Arissa LeBrock, 30, in July 1993 in Los Angeles, California.

Two years later in 1996, their marriage ended in divorce. LeBock later chose to step away from Hollywood to focus on raising her children following her divorce from Seagal.

In a candid 2017 interview, the actress discussed the challenges and rewards of her life away from the limelight. She chose a secluded life in Southern California to provide a stable environment for her children.

These stories of beauty icons from the ’80s and their daughters illustrate the diversity of beauty across generations, emphasizing that while some traits are passed down, each individual shines with their unique allure.

Meghan Markle’s entire look was completed with Heidi Merrick’s oversized Santa Barbara sunglasses, a white crossbody Valentino purse, and a small model, quartz movement, yellow gold Tank Française watch.

Prince Harry was in a smart casual look made up of white trousers, a light blue shirt, and a beige coat, completed with loafers and sunglasses. However, it was Meghan’s dress, which caught the attention of online users.

Meghan was delighted to present the trophy to Prince Harry after his team’s win. However, during the photo shoot, an awkward moment occurred that had tongues wagging online. Meghan asked a woman to change positions from her husband’s side to hers when photos were being taken.

So, online users pointed out the uncomfortable moment when Meghan asked Sophie to step away from Prince Harry’s side to hers. Sophie ended up standing next to Meghan as the Duchess of Sussex positioned herself in the middle of the group and next to her husband.

During this interaction, Prince Harry kept his hands around Meghan as she spoke to Sophie. She motioned Sophie to the other side, saying, “Do you want to come over here?” A user, shocked by Meghan’s attitude towards Sophie, asked, “Why is she humiliating a beautiful black woman?”

Meghan and Prince Harry’s recent outing was definitely eventful. However, its aim was for a serious issue as the funds raised will be used to cover the needs of children and young people living in Lesotho, who are affected by poverty, inequality, and HIV/AIDS.

Prince Harry and Meghan continue to advocate for social causes through their work even after stepping away from their royal duties as part of the Royal Family. The two have supported each other in their separate causes as seen in how Meghan was by her husband’s side during the recent annual Polo Cup.

He recently directed and produced the upcoming film “Juror No. 2,” featuring Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette. The film tells the story of a family man who grapples with a profound moral quandary while serving on a jury for a notorious murder case.

The man’s decision could sway the jury’s verdict and determine the fate of the accused, posing a significant ethical dilemma with far-reaching consequences. This thriller movie, which commenced filming in June 2023 in Savannah, Georgia, is anticipated to be Eastwood’s final project.

Even in his older years, Eastwood was seen fully invested while shooting, “Juror No. 2.” The producer actively directed his crew during setup on scene.

His fascination was also evident as he reviewed footage alongside his longtime camera operator, Stephen Campanelli, a collaboration that began on the set of the 1995 romantic film, “The Bridges Of Madison County.”

After filming “Juror No. 2,” Eastwood, who is now in his 90s and has done many things he loves, steered away from the public eye. Still, his rare sightings have fans worried about his health and well-being.

Frustration mounted, with one expressing, “Can someone tell me why Clint Eastwood looks like a homeless person?”

Speculation swirled as others pondered the authenticity of Eastwood’s appearance. “Is it really him? Maybe not,” mused one fan, while another agreed“Unrecognizable with that beard and untidy, long hair.”

Acknowledging the passage of time, an observer remarked, “He’s unrecognizable! Despite the narration, age has obviously slowed him down just as it will most of us.”

As much as fans are worried about Eastwood, his dedication to fitness and health has been a lifelong pursuit, rooted in his early years as a teenager. In 1991, he revealed that he engaged in manual labor during his youth, tackling jobs such as hay baling and lumberjacking.

So, Eastwood has been in good health, always watching his diet and exercising. The only time the actor’s life has been at risk was when he had a harrowing experience during his time in military training.

Eastwood enjoys spending time with his grandkids. Francesca Eastwood once shared a picture of the actor holding his grandson, Titan, writing that Eastwood was the best dad and an awesome grandfather.

Francesca also believed that her father was having a lot of fun being a grandfather. ” I just think that he enjoys it now and I’m glad he’s settled down a bit,” she shared.

She also mentioned that Eastwood used to work extensively during her childhood, resulting in limited time together. Now, he dedicates himself to about one movie per year, prioritizing family time.

Eastwood fell in love with the ranch at 21, when he first saw it. “The first time I saw the place I thought it was terrific. Visually it was something else, and I thought it was the place I’d like to call home. So I kind of adopted Carmel,” he explained.

A couple defied skeptics and proved doubters wrong when they married in 1995, becoming the first couple with Down’s syndrome to become husband and wife, both in the UK and worldwide.

Time and again, we come across heart-touching tales of true love surviving the odds. However, when such stories are centered around people with physical or mental disabilities, they become more impactful.

One such inspiring story is that of Tommy and Maryanne Pilling, who showed the world that love transcends all boundaries and has the power to make anything possible.

EARLY LIFE STRUGGLES

Maryanne was born on May 17, 1971. Even though she had a loving mother, Linda Martin, and an affectionate sister, Lindi Newman, her carer, life wasn’t always easy for her. She was rejected by her father, Martin’s first husband.

But because of the love and support she received from her mother, Maryanne grew up to be a lively and gregarious girl. Tommy was born on March 21, 1958 (World Down Syndrome Day).

He was an only child and became orphaned at the age of 12, after which he grew up in an Essex care home. Having no close support system meant that his development was impaired, and he paid hardly any attention to his physical appearance.

FIRST MEETING

Tommy and Maryanne crossed paths in 1990 while working in the kitchen at a local training home for people with disabilities. He was 32 at the time, while she was only 19. Talking about her daughter’s feelings, Martin said:

“Whenever she [Maryanne] spoke about him [Tommy], she couldn’t stop beaming.”

Guessing from the way Maryanne had introduced Tommy to her family, they knew she was smitten with him. They shared several interests, including their love for cooking, music, dining out, watching movies, or just enjoying doing craftwork together.

THE BACKLASH

The couple also loved dancing, as Tommy was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and didn’t hesitate to express his love before Maryanne and her family when he became more comfortable with them.

Soon, they began dating, and after 18 months, Tommy popped the big question to Maryanne. However, like a true gentleman, he proceeded to ask her mother for permission first, and she had no reservations. She gave the happy couple her blessings.

Unfortunately, others were not so open-minded, and many confronted Martin whenever she left the house. Some even told her she had no idea what she had started, while others asked her about Maryanne and Tommy’s sex life.

FAIRYTALE WEDDING

Despite the harsh comments and criticism, Martin always supported her daughter. On July 15, 1995, Tommy and Maryanne tied the knot in a grand ceremony, surrounded by 250 guests. Talking about the fairytale wedding, Newman revealed:

“Maryanne looked like a princess in her beautiful white dress, tiara, and long veil. Tommy looked very dapper in his made-to-measure suit.”

As they walked down the aisle of St. Mary The Virgin Church in Essex, England, they became the first couple with Down’s syndrome to get married in the UK and worldwide.

LOVELY COUPLE

After their marriage, Tommy lived with Maryanne’s family for seven years. The couple then moved into their own apartment next door, with Maryanne’s sister, Newman becoming their carer. Newman shared her thoughts on their lovely relationship:

“He sits back and listens, and she likes that. What keeps their marriage so strong is that there is never a hidden agenda. They love each other with their whole hearts and are honest with one another.”

The couple enjoyed going to theme parks, enjoying romantic dinner dates, watching movies, bowling, golfing, and spending time with their family. Tommy referred to Maryanne as “his love,” while she lovingly introduced him as “her husband.”

TOMMY’S DEATH

Sadly, their life became difficult when Tommy got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a few years ago. He became affected by COVID-19 and was hospitalized in December 2020, but he could not survive due to his worsening health.

Tommy passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving his love of nearly 30 years alone. Her mother broke the sad news to her, and even though she seemed to understand, she later asked when Tommy would come home.

The heartwarming love story of Tommy and Maryanne silenced the doubters and haters and proved to the world that any obstacle could be overcome with love.

John Wayne was a staple in the film industry for many years. On-screen, he often acted shy around women, and in reality, he did not portray the look of a playboy. However, the actor lived differently from what many would have expected.

Wayne was always webbed in controversies involving women and alcohol. Also, he was an incorrigible philanderer who, despite being married, had affairs with different women.

The “The Quiet Man” star was married to three different women but never found any of them satisfying enough. His first wife was Josephine Saenz, a society girl from Pasadena.

Saenz grew weary of her husband’s company and her time on set with him. Their marriage was not perfect either, as Wayne was a serial cheat.

He had a three-year-long affair with co-star Marlene Dietrich, a German, and they never concealed the relationship. The actor later confessed that his most exciting sexual experience was with his German mistress.

Sadly, his marriage with Saenz ended following his lack of discipline and her incessant rants about the affairs. The couple had four kids.

Not long after the split from his wife of twelve years, Wayne married Esperanza Baur Diaz Ceballos, against the advice of his close friends. She was deemed as actor Ray Milland’s “port of call” when he entered Mexico, and her mother had a history with brothels.

Somehow, the couple carried on for a few years. They shared a passionate intimacy, and Ceballos did not object to her husband’s regular drinking habits.

Eventually, the relationship worsened; she became an alcoholic and frowned on her husband’s alleged affair with Gail Rusell, leading them to argue ceaselessly. At one point, she threatened to shoot him.

They had no children, so it was easy to end their marriage. Before the ink dried on the divorce papers, while scouting for a location for his film “The Alamo,” the actor found love in the arms of a Peruvian beauty.

Pilar Pallete, his third wife, was the child of a Peruvian senator, and she found it challenging adjusting to the Hollywood lifestyle. There was also a twenty-one-year age gap between them; still, she said “I do” to the Hollywood celebrity in 1954 in Kona, Hawaii.

Unfortunately, like her predecessors, she also dealt with Wayne’s infidelity. He had met Maureen O’Hara before their marriage, and they continued their affair for years.

Like the first, it was no secret; the lovers planned to meet on his yacht. A close source revealed that Wayne was truly in love with her but could not marry her because she was tough (he thought it would be impossible to control her).

Palette, who welcomed three kids with Wayne, separated from the actor in 1973, a few years before his death, she moved out of their home. But the couple never divorced.

Wayne Was an Excellent Dad to His Kids despite the Relationship with Their Mothers— Meet Them

Wayne might have been a controversial man, but he was an excellent actor and even a better dad. He shared a fantastic relationship with his seven kids, despite the relationship with their mothers. The “The Quiet Man” star’s parenting skills helped his children navigate their unique lifestyles.

His first child, Michael, was born in 1934. Wayne’s mini-me kept an admirable relationship with his dad at home and during work. Michael produced some of his dad’s movies and worked as the “John Wayne Foundation president.”

His sister, Mary Antonia, born two years later, lived a more reserved life with her husband and eight children. She appeared in “The Quiet Man” and “The Alamo” in her early years alongside her father.

Saenz and Wayne’s third child, Patrick, is as impressive as his father on-screen. Some of his notable works include “Mister Roberts,” “The Searchers,” “The People That Time Forgot,” and “Sinbad.”

Melinda was their last child, born a year after Patrick. As a child, she starred in some of her dad’s movies. However, her movie career was not long-term.

Melinda married Gregory Robert Munoz, and after five children, the couple divorced. She now resides in Newport Beach, on Balboa Island.

Wayne’s first child with Pallete, Aissa, starred in movies at a young age but became a successful lawyer. She trained as a criminal prosecutor for Los Angeles.

Marisa, their second daughter, was born in 1966 and, like her siblings, was a child actress. But she did not further her career. Instead, Marisa settled into family life with her husband and their two kids.

Wayne’s Relationship with the Son He Knew He Would Never See Grow

Ethan was the actor’s youngest son who shared a special bond with his dad. Wayne had him at age 56 and knew that he would miss him growing up.

While recounting his childhood, Ethan maintained that they lived like every average family in Newport Beach, California. The only difference was that they had tons of mail in their mailbox compared to other neighbors.

His dad also was free with the neighbors, loved to cook his meals, and answered the door himself. Also, according to Ethan, there was no bodyguard or security.

Knowing that he would not be around for long, Wayne taught his son some essential life lessons like chores and discipline to work. According to Ethan:

“He took with me on location. I’d be home schooled down on location in Mexico because he knew he wasn’t going to be around for me when I was older,[…]or if he went on his boat, The Wild Goose.”

Ethan’s time with his father gave him the tools to succeed in his career path. He sits as the chairman of John Wayne Enterprises and John Wayne Cancer Foundation while working in the entertainment industry.

Despite the special bond he shared with Ethan, Wayne’s kids were in awe of the “The Quiet Man” actor. Since Wayne died, they have continued to glorify his works on TV and as a father.

Speaking about his time with the family’s patriarch, Ethan revealed: “I loved everything I did with my dad. He carried these autograph cards, and as a little kid, it was my job to have them ready if we were out in public and he was trying to get through a crowd….I came along when he was 56.”

The proud son continued: “I recently read that someone asked my father why he took me out of school to travel with him. He answered, ‘Boys go away when they get to be 16 or 17, and they don’t come back until they’re in their 30s. I won’t be there for Ethan when he’s in his 30s, so I’m gonna love him now.'”

His sister, Aissa, added that their father was merciful even when they committed a crime. Melinda also mentioned that despite living with their mom, they maintained contact with their father. She explained:

“When he was dying, he turned to my late brother, Michael, and said, ‘Whatever you do, use my name for the benefit of the public. If it weren’t for the public, I wouldn’t be here, you wouldn’t be here. We wouldn’t have had the life we had.'”

The Exit of a Movie Icon

John’s womanizing was not the only demon he struggled with; the actor could not give up his love for the bottle and smoked four to five packs of cigarettes a day.

Eventually, he died in June 1979, at age 72, after a long-term battle with cancer. He was survived by seven children and an estranged wife.

In his will, the actor excluded his wife and left his $6.85 million estate to his seven kids. The provision for his offspring involved them getting $5000 multiplied by the difference between age 21 and their ages at the time of his death.

Wayne also shared his fortune with organizations that would secure his estate with tax reductions. In addition, his possessions, including paintings, American-Indian artifacts, and sculptures, were donated to these organizations.

While Pallete did not benefit from the will, provisions were made for her in the separation agreement. Her husband also insisted that Saenz, his first wife, be given a monthly income, and it is to be shared by her kids after her death.

Wayne’s burial site was a secret for many years until 2004, when it was discovered that the movie star was buried in Newport Beach, with a private ceremony hosted by the family.

Wayne’s Legacy Lives on in His Kids

Apart from sharing their experiences with their celebrity dad, Wayne’s kids have continually honored the deceased.

When the University of California’s School of Cinematic Arts students and alumni protested to remove Wayne’s tribute and a further demonstration to remove his statue from the town, following his thoughts on white supremacy, Marisa, his last daughter, defended the actor.

A few years before his death, Wayne proudly confessed his belief in white supremacy, and the consequence was the effects of the protests.

Marisa explained that her dad had his views on matters but respected other opinions. On the other hand, Aissa and Ethan supported their sister, claiming that their dad was a humanist who showed affection to people. Ethan said:

“Let me make one thing clear — John Wayne was not a racist. Those who knew him knew he judged everyone as an individual and believed everyone deserved an equal opportunity.”

Over the years, his children’s accounts and shared experiences from close associates did not hint that he was a racist. Instead, many details about Wayne centers on his personal life, contributions to the entertainment scene, and acts of kindness through his foundation.

Some showbiz stars won over fans with their striking beauty in their heydays. However, they have changed with time, leaving room for scrutiny. These women have aged differently. From Faye Dunaway to Tina Louise and even Brigitte Bardot, fans have always wanted to know more about them.

The role of Bonnie in the classic film also earned the star her first Academy Award at age 27. Notably, Dunaway’s character became influential in the fashion trends as she sported the late 60s style. She cemented her name in Hollywood’s Fashion Hall of Fame.

Tina Louise: Embracing Change After the Spotlight

Dunaway’s evolution is slightly different from that of Tina Louise. Louise’s journey offers a distinct perspective on life after widespread fame. She has stunning ginger hair and a beauty spot on the left side of her face.

Louise’s transformed from a teenage Broadway star to a beloved television icon. This illustrates her adaptability and resilience. She is known for portraying Ginger Grant on “Gilligan’s Island.” Louise’s departure from Hollywood in the early 1970s left fans curious about her life beyond the screen.

While starring on “Gilligan’s Island” from 1964 until 1967, she was often in the limelight. But that later changed after becoming a parent as she welcomed a daughter.

However, her decision to step away reflects a broader narrative of seeking fulfillment beyond public recognition. This is a choice that resonates with many who have walked similar paths in the entertainment industry.

That said, Louise’s role on the show remains a memorable one. She once shared she starred in the series for only three years but it is still successful to date. The star believes it did well because the cast members did their part. Now decades since it aired, Louise is the only living cast member of “Gillian’s Island.”

Joan Van Ark: The Impact of Celebrity on Self-Perception

Aside from Louise’s story, Joan Van Ark’s tale is that of continued criticism. The actress’s career, notably her role as Valene Ewing in “Knots Landing,” brought her both acclaim and scrutiny.

The television star left the show following 13 seasons and earned six nominations. Van Ark also won two Soap Digest Awards for Best Actress for her role in the series.

The blonde-haired veteran has experiences with fame and public perception. This adds another layer to the exploration of beauty and aging in Hollywood. Over the years, the now 80-year-old underwent several cosmetic procedures. These have significantly changed her appearance.

Once she started getting older, Van Ark began to look more different. Some media publications reportedly claimed that she looks like a wax figure. This observation comes from her noticeably tight skin and plumped lips.

Meanwhile, a plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, speculated on the procedures she might have had. Youn said it is possible that Van Ark had a facelift to make her jawline appear sharper. He also pointed out her lifted brow and smooth forehead.

When she made one public appearance once, Van Ark looked different. She reportedly had red-tinted eyebrows and a matching eyeliner but decided to go for a nude color on her lips.

In every appearance she has made, Van Ark’s physical features have become even more shocking. A source once revealed that when she attended the 40th anniversary event of “Knots Landing” in 2020, her face appeared to have “melted.”

Even her hips reportedly looked disfigured and her skin was also worrying. People blamed Van Ark for resorting to plastic surgery, with one stating that she had ruined her face.

While fans are wondering about Bleeth and want to know more, a lot has happened in her life. However, the police allegedly found cocaine in her pocketbook. Consequently, Bleeth spent the night at the police department in Romulus, Michigan. She was on her way to the airport set to leave Detriot.

Despite the woes, Bleeth eventually found love when she walked down the aisle in 2002 with club owner, Paul Cerrito. She reportedly met him in rehab two years before their nuptials. The couple wed at the Barca resort in Santa Barbara in front of 50 guests.

I got over that a long time ago,” Turner remarked.
