In a performance that is already being described as “once in a lifetime,” Michael Bublé and Céline Dion lit up the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club on Sunday evening with a Father’s Day tribute that left the lucky few in attendance breathless.

Céline Dion ft. Michael Bublé - Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - live full performance

Tucked in the heart of Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, the Blue Note — usually home to late-night solos and smoky saxophone riffs — became the setting for a deeply personal and reverent evening. Only 150 guests were allowed in, each asked to surrender their phones at the door. The result: a room entirely present, hushed, and hanging on every note.

The stage was simple but elegant — soft candlelight flickering against deep blue velvet curtains. No LED screens. No grand spectacle. Just two of the greatest voices of a generation, face to face with their audience.

Opening with a haunting rendition of “Cry Me a River,” Bublé’s signature velvet tone melted into Dion’s controlled power. By the time they transitioned into “The Look of Love,” many in the room were wiping away tears. Their chemistry was effortless, their vocals — a masterclass in restraint, intimacy, and raw emotion.

“It didn’t feel like a show,” said one attendee. “It felt like we were witnessing something sacred — like two souls singing not just to us, but for someone.”

Though neither artist spoke at length between songs, a single photo on a piano — a faded black-and-white image of their fathers — said everything. The night was not about fame or flash. It was about memory, music, and love.

As the final note faded and the crowd rose in silence before erupting into applause, there was a universal sense that this moment could never truly be repeated — and perhaps that’s what made it so powerful.

In a moment that no one saw coming—but will never forget—Sir Tom Jones and Princess Catherine delivered a surprise musical performance that stunned the 40,000-strong crowd gathered at Horse Guards Parade for the Trooping the Colour 2025 celebration on June 14.

As the historic pageantry unfolded beneath a brilliant summer sky, the crowd fell into hushed awe when the unmistakable voice of Sir Tom Jones soared through the London air—joined, incredibly, by the delicate yet emotionally powerful vocals of Princess Kate herself. Their unannounced duet of “I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall” unfolded like a sacred offering, echoing through the ceremonial heart of Britain with a resonance that moved both public and palace to tears.

🎤 An Anthem of Resilience

The song—an emotional ballad about strength, support, and unwavering compassion—took on profound meaning as Sir Tom’s commanding tenor intertwined with Princess Kate’s soft, heartfelt delivery, creating a moment of unexpected intimacy in the midst of grandeur.

Standing on the iconic Buckingham Palace balcony, Princess Catherine was visibly emotional, brushing away tears as Sir Tom gently took her hand in solidarity. The duet was not rehearsed for public announcement, making it a genuine, unscripted gift to the British people.

“It’s unity in music,” said Susan Boyle, who joined behind the scenes to help coordinate the performance. “It was never about spotlight—it was about showing the heart of the Royal Family.”

As their voices soared, so did the crowd’s emotion. Thousands stood in reverent silence, many weeping openly. Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) exploded in real time with reactions:

  • “This is the most unforgettable royal moment I’ve ever witnessed.”

  • “Not a dry eye on Horse Guards Parade.”

  • “Tom and Kate—healing a nation in one song.”

Even members of the Royal Family, including Prince William and King Charles III, appeared visibly moved by the moment’s raw sincerity.

This rare public display of vulnerability from Princess Kate—long admired for her poise and composure—resonated with citizens across generations. It wasn’t just about tradition or ceremony; it was a moment of humanity, resilience, and hope, broadcast from the heart of Britain to the world.

For Sir Tom Jones, who celebrated his 85th birthday this year, the performance marked yet another chapter in a legendary career—one that continues to evolve, surprise, and stir souls.

“I’ve sung in front of kings and queens,” Sir Tom later said, “but today, I sang with one—and we sang for everyone.”

🎖️ In a world hungry for authenticity, the duet between Sir Tom Jones and Princess Kate was more than a performance—it was a balm for the soul, and a historic reminder of the power of music to unite a nation.

Dolly Parton’s tribute to Kenny Rogers following his passing was filled with love and deep sorrow, as she expressed, “You never know how much you love somebody until they’re gone… Kenny, I will always love you.” These simple, yet profoundly emotional words encapsulated the bond they shared—one that was not defined by romance, but by a genuine connection that was rooted in mutual respect and a shared passion for music.

Throughout their decades-long friendship, Dolly and Kenny became known as “musical soulmates,” a term that spoke to their extraordinary chemistry both on and off the stage. Their collaborations, like the iconic hit “Islands in the Stream,” showcased their seamless harmonies and natural bond, but it was their true friendship that made their music even more special. They supported each other through the highs and lows of their careers, offering comfort and encouragement during tough times, and sharing joy during the moments of success. It was a bond built on laughter, respect, and the undeniable power of their shared love for music.

Their friendship was a shining example of authentic connection, transcending the superficialities of fame and always remaining grounded in the sincerity of their bond. As Dolly continues to keep his memory alive, she honors their iconic collaborations and the unbreakable bond they shared, keeping it alive in the hearts of their fans, who continue to cherish the magic they created together.

Though Kenny may no longer be with us, his legacy lives on in the music they created together and in the hearts of all who admired their friendship. Dolly’s enduring love for Kenny will forever be a testament to the deep, soulful connection they shared, and she will undoubtedly carry that precious memory with her for the rest of her life. Through her music and words, Dolly ensures that Kenny Rogers will always remain close—forever a part of her journey, her heart, and the hearts of all who were touched by their songs.

Released in 1965, “I Got You Babe” by Sonny and Cher, topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and became the anthem of the early hippie movement. Decades later, Adam Lambert and Cyndi Lauper sang this song at an awards ceremony to honor Cher, whose career blossomed glimmeringly.

Adam and Cyndi gave the audience a memorable performance, leaving them in awe. The crowd was instantly captivated, rising to their feet to join in the fun, singing and dancing along. Adam, famous for his soaring high notes, chose to honor the original melody, which made for a beautiful rendition. The enjoyment between the two performers was evident.

It’s interesting to know that Cher was present in the house. Like the audience, she loved this duet so much. The legend was visibly moved, joining the crowd in a standing ovation and cheering enthusiastically for Adam and Cyndi.

This rendition was mesmerizing because it was covered by truly talented singers. At over 60, Cyndi Lauper has been in the entertainment industry for almost as much time as Cher. Her music video for her 1983 song “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” was considered one of the best music videos of that decade.

On the other hand, Adam Lambert, who gained fame as the “American Idol” runner-up in 2009, has rapidly risen to stardom with his dramatic flair and impressive vocal range. He duetted with some pretty big stars like Queen and Rihanna.

It’s been ten years since Adam Lambert competed on ‘American Idol,’ but he was back and better than ever with TWO epic performances during the season 17 finale.

Adam Lambert got his big break on American Idol in 2009, and ten years later, he returned to the stage for the season 17 finale. Since Adam just released his new song, “New Eyes,” last week, the Idol finale was the perfect place for him to promote it with an epic live performance. Adam showed off his signature quirky style for the performance, and he sounded amazing while belting out the track. The song just came out, but the fans are already obsessed and were singing along in the crowd! It wasn’t his only performance of the night, either — Adam was also joined by top 10 finalist, Dimitrius Graham, for a rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” during the show. Amazing!

This wasn’t Adam’s first appearance on season 17 of American Idol, either. Earlier this season, he served as a mentor for the top 8 contestants before they took the stage to perform songs by Queen. Adam has been performing as the frontman of Queen for years now, so he was the perfect person to offer advice to the aspiring singers. Three of the artists he mentored, Madison VanDenburg, Laine Hardy and Alejandro Aranda, are now competing to be named the winner of season 17.

AMERICAN IDOL - "218 (Season Finale)" - Following a cross-country search for the next singing sensation, "American Idol" rounds out its second season on ABC with an epic grand finale event, featuring "Idol"'s Top 3 contestants: Alejandro Aranda, Laine Hardy and Madison VanDenburg. For the first time in "Idol" history, America's live coast-to-coast vote will determine the winner of the iconic singing competition series, with all voting taking place during the show. The crowning moment will be preceded by special performances from music legends, including "Idol"'s very own superstar judges, the return of fan-favorite contestants from the current season and a special visit by last season's winner, Maddie Poppe. Poppe's debut album, "Whirlwind," drops on Friday, May 17. The jam-packed music event airs SUNDAY, MAY 19 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. Adam fell just short of winning the show when he was a contestant on season 8 in 2009. Although he lost to Kris Allen, though, Adam has gone onto have a successful solo career in the ten years since his time as a contestant in the singing competition.

American Idol has been picked up for another season at ABC, which is set to air in 2020. It has not been confirmed if judges, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, will be returning, but it’s pretty clear that Adam has an open invitation if he wants to come back and perform again next year!

The Voice Australia judge Adam Lambert has revealed what he really thinks about the reality show ahead of its season 13 premiere.

The Grammy-award winning singer, 42, has joined the cast of the singing show, alongside LeAnn Rimes, 41, Kate Miller Heidke, 42, and Guy Sebastian, 42.

Adam, LeAnn and Kate have replaced outgoing judges Rita Ora, Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo for the 2024 season.

Speaking to Perth Now, he admitted that while he sometimes gets ‘flashbacks’ to his days as a contestant on the 2009 season of American Idol, the differing formats of the two shows is what drew him Down Under

‘The format is a bit different to American Idol that I was on, but I love that we get to mentor people and put together a team,’ he told the publication.

‘I think that’s what drew me to this in the first place, the chance to get to help, give them some helpful criticism and encouragement . . . it’s an exciting creative process.’

Adam also admitted that he has been ‘blown away’ by the considerable depth of talent on display in the upcoming season.

‘It’s surpassed any expectation I had. The talent is really, really great,’ Adam said.

‘There are different styles of singers and something for everybody. I know that sounds like a generic pitch, but there really is. We have singers doing contemporary pop songs, country and soul.’

After rising to fame as the runner-up on the 2009 season of American Idol, Adam launched a successful solo career with his Billboard number three debut album For Your Entertainment.

He then took over from Freddie Mercury as the frontman for British rockers Queen in 2011.

Yahoo Lifestyle recently claimed that the reason for the change in judges for The Voice Australia 2024  was the star’s pay cheques, and a desire from producers to keep costs down.

‘The decision was made last year and the casting team were looking for quite some time,’ an industry insider told the publication.

The insider added that salary increases are necessary to keep returning stars on the show and the price tag for the former crop was ‘too expensive’.

‘The company line was that Jessica, Rita and Jason were all too busy, but I don’t think anyone is too busy to pick up these sorts of pay cheques.

‘It certainly did have a lot to do with keeping the costs down.’

With former configurations of coaches being praised for their on-screen chemistry and diversity, the insider added that Channel Seven executives were ‘nervous’ about the new lineup.

They claimed that the network was worried when Keith Urban departed the show in 2022, adding the success of the show proved they had found the right replacement.

‘Jason was a big risk in 2023 and Channel Seven knew that if he worked on the show his management was going to ask for a much higher figure to come back this year, which in the end was obviously too expensive,’ the source told the publication.

Adam Lambert has hit back at homophobic trolls who criticised his boyfriend’s appearance on social media over the weekend.

The ‘Holding Out For a Hero’ singer has been dating his partner Oliver Gliese for over two years.

The 40-year-old regularly posts photos of Oliver, 28, on Instagram, where Oliver’s gender-queer sense of style sometimes attracts anti-gay comments.

However, after photos of the pair on a night out in West Hollywood last Friday made it onto the internet and yet again prompted “obnoxious homophobia”, as Adam put it, the American Idol alum decided to take action.

“Grow up and challenge yourself to explore tolerance” – Adam Lambert

“Oli and I had a fun night out!” the ‘What Do You Want From Me?’ singer said in an Instagram Story. “Rare to encounter paps in WEHO – so retro. Haha. Lifts my spirits to see support in the comments.”

“Oli identifies as a he,” the former Attitude cover star went on. “He has wicked style and refuses to conform to the societal norms regarding his fashion choices.

Adam Lambert Defends Boyfriend Oliver Gliese From Homophobic Critics

“He is beautiful and brave and daring. He’s a leader not a follower. One of the many things i love about him!”

Adam – who released his fifth studio album High Drama earlier this year, and headlined Pride In London last month – furthermore continued: “We are very happy together and if the haters don’t like it, we don’t really give a f**k.

“Grow up and challenge yourself to explore tolerance. We are all just trying to stay happy and fulfilled with our lives.”

Gasps. Cheers. Then stunned silence. That’s what rippled through the studio of The Voice UK when Adam Lambert, 43, and Sir Tom Jones, 85, walked side by side onto the stage—two generations, two titans, one historic moment.

It was a performance no one saw coming. Dressed in a midnight velvet suit with signature rhinestone boots, Adam flashed that devilish grin. Sir Tom, ever the Welsh gentleman, wore his classic black turtleneck and a knowing twinkle in his eye. Together, they launched into a powerful duet of “Somebody to Love”—a nod to Queen, a nod to legacy, and an absolute mic drop for the season premiere.

But it wasn’t just the vocals that stole the show. It was the chemistry. Adam’s electrifying falsetto danced around Tom’s gravelled growl like two old souls who’d somehow rehearsed for years. The standing ovation lasted nearly two full minutes.

Backstage, the mood turned from electric to unexpectedly emotional. Cameras caught a raw, unfiltered moment: Sir Tom placing a hand on Adam’s shoulder, his voice quiet but firm.

“You’ve got the pipes, the presence,” he told him. “But if you want to be great on that red chair, you listen more than you speak. You fight for the voice behind the voice.”

Adam—usually the life of the room—was visibly moved. Sources say the glam rocker wiped a tear, then hugged Tom tightly. “I’ve admired you since I was a kid,” he whispered. “This is a full-circle moment.”

The mentorship didn’t stop there. Later in the taping, Sir Tom reportedly gave Adam his personal judging notes from over a decade on the show—scrawled on worn parchment with red ink and coffee stains. One note simply read: “Believe in the odd ones. They’re usually the fire.”

Producers were stunned by the unexpected bond. “We thought it would be oil and water,” one insider said. “Turns out, they’re more like whiskey and flame.”

Fans are already begging for a studio version of the duet—and the internet is ablaze with speculation that a special “Legends & Rebels” episode is being discussed, where Tom and Adam would mentor contestants together.

One thing’s certain: this wasn’t just a performance. It was a generational handshake. A passing of the torch with fireworks. And if tonight was any preview of what’s to come on The Voice UK 2025, the real competition might not be between the singers—but between the judges themselves.

Stay tuned. This season just found its soul.

From ArtRave pop diva to Cheek To Cheek jazz chanteuse, Lady Gaga is truly a musical chameleon. And last night, the “Born This Way” singer-songstress delighted an unsuspecting audience with yet another musical switch-up: Glam-rock goddess!

Yesterday, while down under for the Australian leg of her ArtRave, Gaga popped out on stage during the acclaimed Adam Lambert and Queen Tour in Sydney, which has electrifying audiences all over the world this summer. (It makes sense, too — Gaga is named after Queen’s “Radio Ga Ga,” after all!)

Together, the two friends gleefully tore into Queen classic “Another One Bites The Dust” together to the roaring delight of the crowd. “Tonight I felt alive in a way I have not before. I returned to the Radio GaGa mothership to pay homage to my leaders. It was emotional and wild,” Gaga wrote on Instagram. “So much fun tonight! @ladygaga” Lambert wrote on his page.

Adam Lambert sings Bohemian Rhapsody on American Idol
Lambert has been performing with Queen for many years, and will soon be doing so again when their Rhapsody Tour travels around North America.

Now, appearing on RuPaul’s new US chatshow, the superstar was asked which of the iconic Freddie Mercury hits is the toughest to sing, on a technical level.

When host RuPaul asked if it’s Bohemian Rhapsody, Lambert considered: “That is a big one.

“And Who Wants To Live Forever is a big sing.”

But the one he identified as the most challenging is another sweeping epic.

“The Show Must Go On is the killer,” he said. “That one doesn’t stop. It just keeps going!”

When RuPaul asked how he takes care of his voice, Lambert joked: “Denial!”

He added: “I mean, water, sleep, if I need to [do vocal rest] I’ll be silent for a day.

“And if all else fails, a shot of tequila!”

It’s a busy time for Lambert: not only is he planning to tour with Queen, he also has his own new music coming up.

The single New Eyes was unveiled earlier this year, and another new track – Comin’ In Hot – is due this week.

Both songs are lifted from the upcoming album Velvet, which doesn’t yet have a release date.

“I took matters a little bit more into my own hands with this one,” he told RuPaul, explaining that he hasn’t called upon many big-name producers and co-writers.

On who he has collaborated with, he revealed: “It’s friends, people that I’ve met over the last ten years that I respect, a lot of queer writers as well – more than ever. More female writers than ever.”

The Rhapsody Tour, meanwhile, begins in Canada on July 10, and tours North America until late August.

The jaunt then heads to Asia next January, and New Zealand and Australia in February.

No UK dates have been announced, but Brian May has hinted that these could be on the cards for the near future.
