It’s always heartwarming to watch a performer overcome their fears and nerves to satisfy the judges and audience. Here’s a woman who does just that and in the meantime, builds her confidence too.

28-year-old Alice Fredenham from Hartfordshire, England, is a beauty therapist by day. She won an audition on Britain’s Got Talent but told no one–she didn’t want to have to face the failure if she wasn’t selected. “I never thought I could be good enough,” she admits. It turns out her fears were overblown.

For her audition, Alice sang, “My Funny Valentine,” which was a show tune written in 1937 by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart for the musical Babes in Arms. The song has been covered by over 600 artists on 1,300 albums, most famously by Chet Baker, Johnny Mathis and Frank Sinatra, and it appeared in the movie Pal Joey.

“This is what I’ve been waiting for. Your voice is like liquid gold,” Simon tells her. “I also love the fact you don’t even know how good you are.” After the praise she got from the audience and the cheers from the crowd, maybe Alice now feels a little bit better about herself.

Talent shows help so many people pursue their dreams but it’s not always easy. Here’s a man that drives for a car service but wants to be a singer. And America’s Got Talent is helping him make that dream a reality.

There’s been quite a bit of focus in recent years on mental health and we’ve come to view it a little differently than we did a few years ago. But it is still surprising how many people who are very talented are also unsure about themselves. Anxiousness in front of a big crowd is normal but even nervous breakdowns can happen when it gets too bad.

Brian Justin Crum is a very talented singer but he’s also someone who has suffered from severe stage fright and nervousness. He nervously waved at his mom on stage because he was in fact petrified of being up there. But once he starts singing, he stole everyone’s heart with his performance. He starts slow and then builds to something amazing!

His incredible rendition of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” struck exactly the right chord with the judges and the fans. Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges fell in love with this man’s voice. Watch the video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!

Adam Lambert made a triumphant return to the American Idol stage on April 30, 2023, reminding everyone why he’s a force to be reckoned with. During Season 21’s “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night” (Episode 15), Lambert took on Ann Peebles’ classic “I Can’t Stand the Rain,” pouring his signature style and powerful vocals into every note. The result? His electrifying rendition captivated both the audience and the judges.

Backed by a stellar live band, Adam Lambert delivered a soulful ballad infused with his signature rock-and-roll flair. His commanding stage presence and remarkable vocals had the audience hanging on every note.

The judges were clearly impressed, but Katy Perry stole the spotlight with her enthusiastic support. Wearing a custom shirt proudly displaying Lambert’s name, she cheered him on with uncontainable excitement. “Adam, you’re a rock star through and through!” she exclaimed, her admiration shining bright.

Adam Lambert brought new life to the soul classic “I Can’t Stand the Rain,” originally released by Ann Peebles in 1973 and later reinvented by Tina Turner. His unique take on the song not only highlighted his dynamic artistry but also paid tribute to its history.

This performance was a defining moment for Lambert, reflecting his journey from American Idol runner-up in 2009 to an international icon and the lead singer of Queen. A fan couldn’t hide excitement, saying, “Adam is freaking awesome, he can do literally anything. This song is awesome just like him, no matter how many times I say it he is amazing.”

Byline: The Performance That Broke Hearts And Healed Souls – A Defining Moment In Music History

Berlin, Germany – June 5, 2025 — In a breathtaking performance that left millions across the globe in stunned silence, Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson joined forces for a surprise duet at the highly anticipated UnityFest 2025 — the world’s most inclusive music festival celebrating harmony, diversity, and the healing power of song.

Under the glittering lights of Berlin’s Olympiastadion, with over 90,000 fans in attendance and millions more watching via livestream, Lambert and Hudson took the stage unannounced during the festival’s grand finale. What followed was a moment that will go down in history as one of the most emotional and unforgettable duets ever witnessed.

A Song That Stopped Time

Choosing the timeless ballad “The Prayer”, originally made famous by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, the two vocal titans delivered a flawless, soul-stirring performance that transcended language, culture, and borders. Hudson’s rich gospel-infused power blended with Lambert’s operatic elegance, creating an ethereal soundscape that brought tears to the eyes of even the most stoic concertgoers.

As the final crescendo echoed through the arena, the camera panned to the crowd — audience members were openly weeping, holding hands, many clasped in prayer. Social media erupted within minutes, with hashtags like #LambertHudsonUnity#ThePrayer2025, and #VoicesOfHope trending globally.

A Reunion Years In The Making

5 'American Idol' Losers Who Got the Last Laugh

Though both artists rose to fame through iconic talent shows — Lambert on American Idol and Hudson on American Idol and Dreamgirls fame — this marked their first major televised duet in over a decade. Their reunion was not only symbolic but also deeply meaningful for fans who have long dreamed of seeing these two vocal powerhouses collaborate on such a poignant stage.

Speaking backstage after the performance, Lambert said:

“This wasn’t just about music. It was about unity, healing, and honoring the resilience of people all over the world. Jennifer and I felt every word of that song — and we knew we weren’t alone.”

Hudson added:

“We didn’t plan on making the world cry… but I think the world needed to.”

The Heart Of UnityFest 2025

This year’s UnityFest was themed “Voices Without Borders”, drawing artists from over 50 countries, including Coldplay, BTS, Burna Boy, Rosalía, and Andrea Bocelli himself, who watched from the audience as his legendary song was reimagined by a new generation.

Organizers called the Lambert-Hudson duet the defining moment of the night — one that embodied the true mission of UnityFest: to create a global stage where emotion, excellence, and empathy reign supreme.

A Legacy In The Making

As the final note of “The Prayer” faded into the night sky, the crowd erupted into a seven-minute standing ovation, with fans holding up signs that read, “THIS is why we believe in music,” and “Adam + Jennifer = Hope.”

Critics and fans alike have since called the performance “a masterclass in vocal artistry” and “a spiritual experience through song.” Music blogs are already dubbing it “the duet of the decade.”

Whether this magical collaboration signals a forthcoming studio release or a tour remains to be seen — but one thing is certain:

When Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson sing together, the world listens… and it feels.

Adam Lambert: ‘I learned a lot from Freddie Mercury’

The 2023 Carol Service at Westminster Abbey celebrated the theme #ShapingUs, recognizing the people who support babies, young children, and families in the UK. American Idol has witnessed its fair share of remarkable vocalists, but Adam Lambert’s electrifying performances stand out as truly iconic moments in the show’s history. His rendition of Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild” in the top seven round remains a standout example, showcasing not only his remarkable vocal range but also his innate ability to command the stage and captivate audiences effortlessly.

Draped in a rock ‘n’ roll ensemble of leather jacket and black jeans, Lambert exuded an infectious energy that electrified the crowd. Unlike Steppenwolf’s gruff blues rock approach, Lambert infused the song with his own melodic interpretation, punctuated by impressive vocal acrobatics that culminated in a soaring climax reminiscent of an air raid siren.

What truly sets Lambert apart is his unparalleled versatility as a performer. From the soulful rendition of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World” to the funk-infused groove of Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music,” Lambert effortlessly transitions between genres with a finesse that few artists can match.
