The Princess of Wales younger brother James has shared a touching message of support for his sister amid her battle with cancer.

The Princess of Wales, 42, today announced that she is undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy following successful abdominal surgery in January.

James, 36, took to Instagram to share a childhood photo with the Princess on a hiking trip, saying: ‘Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too.’

Royal fans were quick to react, pointing out how entrepreneur James will now support Kate in the same way she was by his side through his battles with depression.

The Princess of Wales released a video message revealing her diagnosis, saying it had come as a 'huge shock'

This is so sweet. She was there with you during your mental health struggles & I am sure that you will be by her side through this too,’ one wrote. ‘You both are so strong & you have the support of so many around the world. We love you!’

‘Aww what a lovely post.. she has such a supportive family! I have no doubts our beloved Princess will go through this and will be cancer free soon,’ another royal fan added.

‘What a beautiful post,’ said a third. ‘Catherine is so lucky to have such an amazing family to support her. Sending so much love to the entire family.’

James has previously spoken about how Kate, alongside his parents and sister Pippa rallied round to help him overcome clinical depression.

‘I was very lucky that they were willing to be involved and understood that it’s a process, there’s no quick fix to it,’ he said.

‘And understanding the way that my mind works, which may differ from theirs or other people’s is a really important part, because it was was a process for me as much as it was a process for them, and I think as a family we grew from that.’

He also spoke about how Kate and Pippa, both attended therapy sessions alongside him in support.

‘My sisters came to some of my therapy session,’ he said. ‘They’ve always been there during difficult times and they were at my side during the hardest of times as well. For that, I am forever grateful.’

Now it is Kate’s turn to lean on the Middleton family for support, and her parents Carole, 69, and Michael, 74, appear to have been eagerly on-hand.

The couple, along with Kate’s siblings Pippa Matthews and James, have been supporting the royal’s recovery at her home in Windsor, which is near to their own homes.

Princess of Wales’ speech in full

I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery.

It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.

In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous.

The surgery was successful.

However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.

This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.

As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.

But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok.

As I have said to them; I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits.

Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too. As is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both.

We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment.

My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.

At this time, I am also thinking of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer.

For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone.

Kate’s recent outing with mother, Carole, marked her first sighting since Christmas Day.

The royal was pictured sitting in the passenger seat of Carole’s 4×4 Audi, near Windsor Castle. The photos were taken shortly before 9am, suggesting the mother and daughter were returning from the school run.

Kate is likely to have been doted on by her caring parents after leaving the hospital in January.

Carole and her husband Michael, 74, have long been known for their hands-on parenting approach and often host their grandchildren for sleepovers.

Things seem to be heating up in a debate, and the topic of conversation this time around is Planet Fitness. It seems that the chain of fitness studios is underfire after a video went viral of a disgruntled member…

Keep reading to find out what it is all about…

A woman in Alaska posted a photo of a trans woman in the women’s locker room at the Fairbank’s location. She accused the company of allowing ‘men’ into a space that seems deemed should only be exclusive to cisgender women.

The original picture seemed to show a transgender woman as she was shaving over a sink in a locker room. The woman who took the picture ranted and raved in a video afterward about how upset she was. The video ended up going viral and sparking a massive debate.

Shutterstock

What happened, as a result, was that the local Planet Fitness revoked her membership, while the transgender person who had been photographed by her was left alone. Planet Fitness also doubled down on its decision, saying that its policy allows people with certain gender identities to use whichever locked room they see fit.

With that being said, they said people cannot act in bad faith, or their memberships could be canceled.

However, now it seems there are more pictures of the trans woman who had been originally photographed going around as she uses the gym’s locker room. People on the more conservative side of politics have called on others to cancel their Planet Fitness memberships nationwide.

Shutterstock

It seems this has had a big effect, as Planet Fitness’s stock price has taken a big hit. The market value has also plummeted, with stocks going from $66 to about $56 over the course of just 12 days.

The company’s market cap has also fallen around $400 million. The group has gone from $5.3 billion to about $4.9 billion in the course of just five days!

Kate Middleton has been diagnosed with cancer.

The Princess of Wales revealed the somber news via a video message Friday.

Middleton explained that at the time of her abdominal surgery, it was believed her condition was non-cancerous, however post-operative tests revealed cancer.

“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” Kate, 42, said in the video. “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.”

While Middleton did not disclose the type of cancer, she did share she started “preventative chemotherapy” in February.

Melanie Griffith’s life has been quite a rollercoaster. The iconic actress, daughter of actress Tippi Hedren, made her debut on the screen at age 12 – and since then, she’s starred in several big productions.

While Melanie Griffith’s career kept rolling, her private life was very much in focus. She’s been married three times – including to Antonio Banderas – been in rehab, and raised three children.

Melanie Griffith’s children from her first two marriages – Alexander Bauer and Dakota Johnson – had a pretty rough upbringing, especially considering that they had to go through having a mother who was in a terrible place at the time…

Melanie Griffith really had something in the ’80s. She was erotic and sexual in a way that European actresses sometimes are and American actresses almost always are not. And she could act, even though I don’t think Melanie ever truly realized her potential.

I loved her in the movie Working Girl and Paradise!

She was born on August 9, 1957, in New York City to parents Peter Griffith and superstar actress Tippi Hedren, most commonly known for her role in the Hitchcock classic, The Birds.

In hindsight, Griffith’s life has been rather incredible. However, it’s been tragic at the same time. The famous actress, who became known for playing strong-but-sexy characters, has been involved in a car accident, battled with drinking problems, and went through three divorces.

From the start of her life, she was exposed to the pressure of a life in show business. Her mother, Tippi, was, as mentioned, a superstar, and her childhood was extravagant in a very special way – even by Hollywood standards.

When Griffith was seven years old, her mother married agent and producer Noah Marshall. After coming back from a trip to Africa, the couple decided to make a film about lions. An animal trainer gave them a unique idea: to get to know the big cat better, they could welcome one into their home.

So, Melanie Griffith grew up with a pet lion, living with them in the 1970s at their home in Los Angeles, California.

”I grew up with lions, tigers, and two elephants,” Griffith said.

The pet lion, Neil, lived together with the family. Life Magazine documented the extraordinary event, with pictures showing Hedren resting on Neil’s back. The lion even slept under blankets in Melanie Griffith’s bed.

”It was stupid beyond belief,” Griffith later explained.

Even though she wasn’t involved in any incidents with Neil, years later, in another encounter, things didn’t end that well.

Met Don Johnson at 14

Melanie Griffith starred in her first commercial before she turned one. She continued to do commercials and modeling work for some years, and at 12, she made her debut in Extra!, even though she was uncredited.

At the age of 14, she appeared in The Harrad Experiment, and on set, she met her first big love. Griffith met actor Don Johnson on set, and the two fell madly in love. At the time, however, their age difference was somewhat controversial. Don Johnson was 22 at the time – eight years older than Melanie – but their love for one another didn’t stop them.

”I thought he was the most beautiful person I’d ever seen,” Griffith said.

Her mother feared for the two because of her age but eventually gave in. At 15, Melanie Griffith moved in with Don Johnson, and on her 18th birthday, the two got engaged.

”They were two beautiful, wonderful people, and here, my daughter was showing signs that I had never seen before in her, with an older man, and there was just sheer panic,” her mother, Tippi Hedren, recalled.

Griffith and Johnson tied the knot in Las Vegas in 1976. And, after just six months of marriage, the two split. However, they would rekindle their romance later on, exchanging vows a second time in 1989.

Melanie Griffith lion accident

Melanie Griffith started her promising acting career in the 1970s, starring in films such as Night Moves and Joyride.

In 1981, Melanie Griffith starred in the film Roar. Even though her mother and stepfather raised lions to shoot a film, things turned out ugly on the set of Roar. It was very dangerous being in front of the camera, and Melanie got injured.

She was mauled near the eye, and she feared losing her sight. She needed plastic surgery, while her mother Tippi Hedren contracted gangrene and needed skin grafts, according to a piece in the New Yorker.

As reported by The Guardian, Melanie Griffith said that the lioness ”didn’t mean to hurt me. Just, after seven years growing up with the lions, I forgot you have to be careful. You can never be sure you’re safe, and just a blow can pop your head like a ping pong ball.”

Melanie Griffith came through the scary incident. She continued to star in movies, however, without any live wild animals. She appeared in Body DoubleSomething Wild, and The Working Girl, among others, with the last one earning her an Academy Award nomination in 1989.

In the 1980s, Melanie Griffith also found love for the second time. She married actor Steven Bauer in 1981, and four years later, they welcomed a son, Alexander Bauer.

Melanie Griffith – daughter Dakota Johnson

Their relationship lasted until 1989 when the couple divorced – with Griffith finding love in Don Johnson again. They divorced again in 1996, after welcoming daughter and now actress Dakota Johnson in 1989.

”You have to understand that we have a tie, and I love him,” Melanie Griffith said and added:

”I will always love [Don Johnson]. But just because you love someone doesn’t necessarily mean that you can live with them.”

Dakota Johnson has become a prominent actress, starring in Fifty Shades of Grey and The Social Network. But because her parents divorced when she was only seven years old, she had a turbulent childhood. She moved around plenty, went to several different schools, and was even homeschooled for a while.

She was often hanging around her parents on film sets from a young age. It made her want to become an actress as well, which she did.

However, the childhood of Dakota Johnson was also filled with much trouble because of her family situation. As a result, she started to go to therapy at age three.

“The whole shebang,” Dakota Johnson told Vogue. “All the help you can get.”

Melanie Griffith – marriage to Antonio Banderas

”I was so consistently unmoored and discombobulated, I didn’t have an anchor anywhere, I never learned how to learn the way you’re supposed to as a kid. I thought, ‘Why do I have to go to school on time? What’s the point when you’re living in Budapest for six months while your stepdad films Evita and you go to school in your hotel room?’ I was a disaster, and I thought for so long that there was something wrong with my brain. Now I realize that it just works in a different way.”

Dakota Johnson’s childhood could’ve become the thing that put her on the wrong foot. However, a new person soon entered her life, who changed everything. Just as she mentioned, she needed an anchor. And that was precisely what she got in her stepfather, Antonio Banderas.

In 1996, the same year as Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson split, Banderas also went through a divorce with Ana Leza, whom he’d been married to for nine years. He had long admired Melanie Griffith after seeing her in Gone Girl and on the red carpet at the Academy Awards.

“The first time I went to the Academy Awards after we got a nomination for Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, we got on the red carpet, and I saw this blonde woman, and I knew her because I saw movies of her, but I didn’t remember [her name] at the time,” Banderas told Vulture.

“So, I said to [director Pedro Almodóvar] ‘Who is she? Who is she? What is her name?’ Pedro said, ‘That’s Melanie Griffith!’ I said, ‘That’s it. Oh my God.’ Six years later, I was married to her.”

Dakota Johnson’s relationship with stepfather Antonio Banderas

The two met while filming the comedy film Two Much in 1995, and they had one actual thing in common. Both were unhappy in their marriages – and Banderas and Griffith recognized each other’s situations.

Antonio Banderas instantly felt an attraction to Melanie Griffith when working together. He thought she was funny, generous, sweet, and beautiful, and after Two Much, the two stayed in touch. In May 1996, the two tied the knot and welcomed daughter Stella later the same year.

Not only did Antonio Banderas become a father to Stella, but the well-respected actor also became a stepfather to Alexander – from her second marriage to Steven Bauer – and Dakota Johnson.

For both Alexander and Dakota, Antonio Banderas became vital, as they finally got a stepfather who was there for her all the time.

In the beginning, however, Banderas explained that it was difficult for the children to accept him because they didn’t know how long he’d stick around.

“I was totally inexperienced. Suddenly I had a 6-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy, and Stella came along almost immediately,” he told AARP. “I was, ‘Oh, my God!’ But as soon as the kids knew that I was there to stay, they were fine. They needed solid ground in which they could grow. As soon as I realized that, I started establishing my relationship, giving them security, little by little doing the father thing.”

Changed Dakota Johnson’s life

Dakota and Alexander realized that Antonio Banderas was not a temporary man. He took on the role of their stepfather and helped them in any way possible.

For Dakota, this was especially important. Her childhood had been more than stressful and uncertain. In Banderas, she got a stepfather that taught her many things, including “true passion and discipline.”

In 2011, he revealed that the kids call him “Paponio, “which is a mix of “Papa” and “Antonio.”

During an award ceremony in 2019, when Antonio Banderas received the Hollywood Actor Award, Dakota Johnson and Melanie Griffith presented him with the trophy.

”I come from a family of many a marriage, and I got very lucky,” Johnson said in her speech.

”I got a bonus dad who I realized that, over time, is actually one of the most influential people in my whole life. When I was six years old, my mother married a man who brought an unbelievably bright light, a whole new world of creativity and culture, and one remarkably magical little sister into our family.”

”He loved my mother, and my siblings and I so big, and so fiercely and so loud, that it would change all of our lives together,” Dakota added in her speech.

Strong bond to this day

The relationship between Antonio Banderas and his stepchildren continued to be strong even after he and Melanie Griffith divorced in 2014.

Even though Melanie Griffith and Antonio aren’t married anymore, their family bond will forever be strong. As of today, Banderas is in a relationship with Nicole Kimpel. But as soon as he is in Los Angeles, he makes sure to spend time with his stepchildren and ex-wife.

The divorce between the two in 2014 wasn’t dramatic at all, for which his stepchildren were very grateful, Banderas explained.

He added that he will always cherish the time he and Melanie had together – and that he always will love her. And regarding his stepdaughter, Dakota Johnson, he is like her biological, very proud father.

“I remember those years as very effervescent and really beautiful. I am not married with Melanie anymore, but she is my family. She is probably one of my best friends, if not the best friend that I have. My family is there, Dakota [Johnson], Little Estella and Alexander,” Antonio Banderas told Vulture in 2019.

”I met her when she was five years old,” he added. “I followed every single step of it. I’m so proud of her. I saw her the other day in Toronto, and she looks — as I said in the social networks when I put a picture of her and myself, I put there, ‘My radiant Dakota.’”

Melanie Griffith today

At 65, Melanie Griffith is happily single. Her last appearance on the big screen was in 2020, when she had a minor role and co-starred alongside her daughter Dakota in The High Note.

Today, she devotes her time to her family, and according to BestLife, Melanie is currently writing her memoir. And there will probably be a lot to pen down – including her battle against cancer.

The actress was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2010, and eight years later, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Beyoncé set the internet abuzz with a new photo promotion of her upcoming album, where she wore nothing but a sash across her body. Social media users questioned her nudity.

Beyoncé recently took to Instagram to promote her highly anticipated album, “Act II: Cowboy Carter,” sharing a photo that captures the icon in a moment of raw elegance and power.

Standing tall, she holds a cigar, her body adorned with nothing but a sash draped artistically across her. This sash, in vibrant hues of blue, red, and white, reads, “act ii BEYINCE.”

Her long braids cascade down as she looks at the camera with a poker face, exuding confidence and intrigue. In her post, Beyoncé not only revealed the release date of her upcoming album, set for March 29, 2024, but also excited fans with the opportunity to pre-order a limited edition cover vinyl.

Although undoubtedly beautiful, Beyoncé’s share sparked a flurry of reactions, reflecting a spectrum of opinions among fans and onlookers. While the artistic expression of the photograph was evident to many, some questioned the necessity of her posing without clothes.

A concerned fan commented“Do you have to be so naked? I don’t see how that’s relevant to the music or creation you’re trying to give.” This sentiment was echoed by others who wondered, “Why are you always naked?” and expressed discomfort with the current trend of celebrities showing more skin, fearing its impact on societal norms and younger generations.

“This world has become a competition of who can show more skin. This is sickening for this upcoming generation to be desensitized to vulgar. Bring back class and God,” another user lamented.

Others couldn’t grasp why Beyoncé, with her established reputation and brand, would join what they termed the “nudity squad,” suggesting that her talent alone should suffice to sell her music without the need to reveal her body.

Despite the negative feedback, many fans rallied in support, focusing on different elements of the photo that stood out to them. Compliments flowed in with remarks like “Sweet lord” and “It’s the braids for me.” Beyoncé was crowned by her loyal fans with comments such as “Queen” and “It should cost a Billion to look this Good.”

Beyoncé’s Instagram has become a vibrant canvas for the promotion of her upcoming album, “Act II: Cowboy Carter,” but the eye-catching photo of her posing without clothes was not the first glimpse fans received of this highly anticipated album.

In an earlier post, the superstar shared an image that was equally captivating and thematic. This photograph showcased Beyoncé astride a horse, embodying the essence of a modern cowgirl.

Clad in a red, white, and blue cowboy outfit complemented by a gray cowboy hat, she radiated the spirit of the album’s theme. Across her, a sash boldly proclaimed “COWBOY CARTER,” and in one hand, she held a flag. Beyoncé delved into the foundation of her album in the caption, revealing a personal and transformative journey.

“This album has been over five years in the making,” she shared, revealing her experience of feeling unwelcome in the space she ventured into. This moment of exclusion made her immerse herself in the history of Country music and explore the depths of its musical archives.

“It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history,” she said.

She mixed different music styles to make the album a testament to her willingness to challenge herself and her dedication to crafting a unique sound. “This ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album,” she asserted, underlining the personal and distinctive nature of her work.

Beyoncé’s “Act II: Cowboy Carter” album cover is not the only time she donned a controversial style. Her choice of clothing has often pushed the boundaries, with her album covers and public appearances frequently featuring her in daring outfits that attracted criticism.

A notable instance came during Beyoncé’s appearance with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, at the “Renaissance” film premiere in London. For the event, Beyoncé chose an all-black ensemble with a high slit that revealed an undergarment adorned with a gold design.

Despite Beyoncé’s radiant look in her sparkling dress, some fans expressed that her choice of wardrobe was not appropriate for the occasion, especially in the company of her 11-year-old daughter.

Online, a video of the mother-daughter duo sparked comments about Beyoncé’s dress being embarrassing for her daughter. Nevertheless, a segment of Beyoncé’s fanbase rushed to her defense, arguing that her style at the event was consistent with what she wore during her concerts.

They suggested that wearing revealing clothing is a part of Beyoncé’s artistic expression and nothing out of the ordinary for her. Despite the mixed feedback from onlookers, Beyoncé’s wardrobe choices have never impacted her role as a devoted mother.

Beyoncé has openly shared her affinity for exploring the vast landscape of fashion, embracing change as a constant in her wardrobe choices. She articulates this passion by stating, “I love experimenting with fashion, mixing high and low, sportswear with couture, even masculine and feminine.”

This approach reflects not just her versatility as a fashion icon but also her intentionality as an artist and creator. Beyond her bold fashion statements, Beyoncé’s philosophy extends to her music and overall creative output. She explained, “The more I mature, the more I understand my value. I realized I had to take control of my work and my legacy because I wanted to be able to speak directly to my fans in an honest way.”

As previously reported on February 14:

Besides her music, Beyoncé has been known for her trend-setting fashion choices. Recently, she has once again captured the spotlight at New York Fashion Week with an ensemble that was nothing short of stunning.

Beyoncé dazzled in a silver ensemble that featured an intricate buttoned blazer, designed with embellished jewels, a see-through inner top with the same embellishments, and thigh-high boots. The outfit was completed with statement accessories that elevated the look, including a wide-brimmed hat and dark sunglasses.

Overall, her cow-girl aesthetic was one onlookers wouldn’t overlook. However, the online community had mixed reactions over her outfit and took their sentiments to social media.

“She’s in such a weird phase with her cowboy hat and tacky clothes these days,” one person expressed“I love Bey, but sometimes its getting too much,” another added. “Beyoncé looks like she on something [sic],” a third noticed.

When is someone gonna tell her cowboy hats don’t look good on her,” one asked. “I don’t know… But the last few weeks she has gone out in public she just looks out of it,” another emphasized. “Grammy and Super Bowl she looks like something is not right.

The outfits are a no from me,” another shared. However, some onlookers liked her ensemble and wrote on social media, “Love her style.”

Beyoncé’s presence at New York Fashion Week was not solely for the spectacle of fashion. She was there to support her nephew, Solange Knowles’ son Julez, as he made his debut on one of fashion’s biggest stages. Julez stepped into the limelight, showcasing his talents on the runway.

Beyond her fashion statement, Beyoncé has also been making waves in the music industry with her latest venture into country-style music through the release of her new album, “Renaissance: Act II.” The album marks a significant shift in Beyoncé’s musical journey, exploring new genres and themes.

“Renaissance: Act II” is a bold exploration of country music, infused with Beyoncé’s signature style and innovation. The album has sparked discussions among country radio station managers, including 93Q Country’s Travis Moon, who said they were the first to add “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

“I added the song because it’s a great song, and I’m excited because it just sounds so freaking good on the radio. And if there are some of her fans who listen to the song on my radio station that like some other Beyoncé, that’s actually good for my station,” he said.

Beyonce previously donned another cowgirl-inspired outfit during this year’s Grammy Awards, which also sparked mixed reactions. However, her shift in clothing may just be a means to pay homage to her new album.

In a surprising turn of events, Michael Jackson’s son initiated legal action against his grandmother, Katherine Jackson. He is asking the court to stop his grandmother from using funds from his father’s estate. Since the news broke, online users have shared their thoughts and opinions.

According to the reports, Katherine wants to use the money to appeal a past ruling. It concerns her son’s property. Before, Bigi and Katherine were on the same side. They sought to stop the executors of Jackson’s estate from a business transaction.

The nature of the transaction is unknown. But, it reportedly involved the executors wanting to sell half of the late singer’s music catalog to Sony. Unfortunately, Bigi and Katherine lost their case with the court ruling against them.

Since losing, Bigi has given up on the case. However, Katherine Jackson did not, and she decided to appeal. Bigi did not support her decision and did not want to be part of it. On that note, he wants the court to stop his grandmother. He does not want her to use money from Michael’s estate to pay the legal bills.

While a judge has not ruled on her appeal, Bigi Jackson does not believe Katherine would win. He also can’t see how it would benefit the trust’s beneficiaries if she continued to fight. Now, he is asking the court to only repay her for the money she spent before her appeal.

Another social media user who supports Katherine tweeted“No one has given more to the world than Katherine Jackson. I don’t know what the lawsuit was about but she deserves.”

While Michael Jackson was growing up, his mother was a homemaker. She was married to Joseph Jackson, who worked as a steel mill worker. Her first home with her large family had two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a small utility room.

She would make the clothes her children wore. For their footwear, she shopped from sales or the Salvation Army store. When her husband lost his job, she would go with him to farms. They would pick vegetables there, and she would store them after canning for her family.

As they were not wealthy, Katherine and her husband always planned ahead. They would buy meat in large quantities and store it in the freezer. This would last them for a long time.

At the time of Michael’s death, his will stated that if any of his children were minors, he nominated his mother as their guardian. However, he wrote that if she was dead, unable, or unwilling to be their guardian, he nominated Diana Ross to act in that capacity.

Michael’s children are Prince Michael Jr., Paris Michael Katherine, and Prince Michael Joseph II. They are now adults. When Bigi was 18, he bought an over two million dollar home in Calabasas, California. He bought the place because he loved his privacy.

When Bigi and his siblings were much younger, they split an $8 million allowance yearly. The money increased from $5 million as their father’s estate grew in its earnings.

However, when Bigi was 15, Katherine passed his guardianship to his cousin, Tito Joe “TJ” Jackson. In her filing, the then-87-year-old Katherine noted that she could no longer fulfill her duties.

Despite his recent troubles with his grandmother, Bigi is close to his siblings. Two years ago, he remarked that he and his siblings continue to honor their father’s legacy. Bigi is a climate change activist. He loves to do things that he hopes people can benefit from.

A man notices a little girl waving at him from a mysterious house where no one is supposed to be living and decides to find out who she is.

Tim Jenkins had one of the most unappreciated yet necessary jobs in the world: he took away the garbage. Every morning, long before dawn, he and his colleague would drive around the town and take away the refuse the inhabitants had collected the previous day.

No one ever saw them, or at least, no one except for one little girl. Every morning, Tim would get off the garbage truck in front of one particular house, and there was always a little girl at the window tapping on the glass to get his attention.

As soon as the girl saw that Tim looked up, she waved excitedly and mouthed something he couldn’t make out. Tim would wave back and mouth, “Good morning!” and the girl would give him a big smile.

This would happen every single day, and even though the girl and her family seemed to be living in the house, their garbage bins were always empty. However, Tim noticed that the newspapers were piling up on the front porch.

In fact, as the days went by, the house started to look unkempt and abandoned. The only sign of life was the little girl waving from the window every morning before dawn.

Tim started to worry about her, so one afternoon, when he was off work, he decided to drive around the neighborhood and investigate. He walked up to the door of the little girl’s house and rang the doorbell.

He then knocked and waited patiently, but there was no answer. He thought the little girl was at school and her mom was at work, but something just didn’t feel right.

In comparison, the house next door was very pretty, with a well-kept lawn and roses blooming around the white picket fence. There were no weeds and no newspapers on the porch!

We need to be on the alert for signs that the most vulnerable may need our help.
Tim walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. A little while later, he heard the sound of footsteps, and a pretty woman opened the door. “Yes?” she asked. “How may I help you?”

Tim was suddenly nervous. He took off his baseball cap and said, “Good afternoon, ma’am. Sorry to bother you. I work with the garbage disposal unit that works this street?”

“Oh,” the woman said. “You do a wonderful job! Thank you!”

Tim grinned. “It’s mighty nice to hear you say so, ma’am, but the reason I’m here is a little strange…”

The woman looked intrigued and nodded encouragement, so Tim said, “Every morning when I do my rounds — and this is before dawn — there’s a little girl at the window of the house next door. She’s mighty friendly and always waves, but I have a feeling something’s not quite right, and just now, no one answered the door.”

The woman frowned. “Next door? There’s no little girl next door! In fact, I think the family moved away more than a week ago!”

Tim shook his head. “That can’t be! I saw the little girl this morning!”

Tim walked away from the house, but he couldn’t stop thinking about the little girl. When he saw her waving from the window the next morning, he decided to take action.

He called the police and asked them to do a wellness check at the house. Tim explained that he’d seen a little girl at an address where no one was supposed to be living.

That day, two officers visited the house, and when there was no response, they forced the door open. The whole house was empty and still, then they heard a scurrying sound in the kitchen.

There was a little girl hidden in the pantry, staring at them with wide eyes! The officers explained that they were policemen and there to help her, but the little girl just shook her head.

Then one of the officers said, “A man who drives by in the garbage truck every morning told us you were here!” When she heard that, the little girl smiled and waved her hand shyly. She moved her lips, “Good Morning!” but no sound came out.

The officers realized that the little girl was mute! They also observed there was no food in the house, except for a packet of stale crackers. It appeared that the child had been abandoned.

They immediately called Child Services, and one of the officers gave Tim a call to let him know they had found the little girl and that she was now safe. A quick investigation revealed that the child’s father had passed away a few months before.

She had been left in the care of the stepmother, who had simply packed her bags and left the child behind. The police issued a warrant for the arrest of the stepmother for abandonment and child endangerment.

That night, Tim told his wife all about the little girl. Her name was Mia, and she was six years old. Tim’s wife looked at him and said, “Tim, our boys are grown and gone, but I always wanted a daughter…” Tim and his wife applied to be Mia’s foster parents, and two years later, they adopted her.

Tim went from a man that she waved to every morning to a father who gave her a loving home. It just goes to show that you never know where you are going to find your family!

Vincent D’Onofrio’s is probably best remembered for his iconic role as the chubby, inept Marine recruit in Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket.

But after that, his popularity took a dive.

The ruggedly handsome actor, who turned 64 on June 30, 2023, said the role required a dramatic physical transformation, which resulted in him repelling the women who once swooned over his curly dark hair and athletic build.

Vincent D’Onofrio’s résumé is as lengthy as it is diverse. He always puts 200% into every part, and he is always able to become the character to the point you forget who he is.

The Brooklyn-born actor got his start in stage productions, some off-Broadway others on, and held numerous side hustles, like being a bodyguard to Yul Brynner and Robert Plant, to support his dreams of being an actor.

In his early days, he earned himself a living as a nightclub bouncer, delivering flowers, hanging drapes and driving a cab.

But after appearing in a couple of low-budget films, D’Onofrio’s friend, actor Matthew Modine, urged him to send an audition tape to Stanley Kubrick, who at the time was casting for his next big hit.

The 6-foot-3 D’Onofrio, who was incredibly fit, won the role of the fat, dim-witted Leonard, but it came with a few conditions.

Working with Kubrick was a transformative experience for D’Onofrio, as it allowed him to immerse himself deeply in his character and explore his acting abilities in a challenging and intense environment.

The father of three, now 64, had to shave his gorgeous full head of hair, and gain 70 to 80 pounds, which to this date is the most weight gained by any actor for a role.

“[Kubrick] asked me early on would I be all right with gaining this weight and I went over there and gained about 30 pounds, and I remember him seeing it and saying that I only look like I could kick everybody’s a**. He thought some more weight would be needed.” Speaking of the role he played when he was 24, D’Onofrio continued, “I think it went up to 80 pounds…from 200 to 280.”

Gaining the weight was not an easy task for D’Onofrio, who was then faced with the gruelling demands of the movie’s boot-camp scenes.

Obstacle courses would have been easy with his athletic build but it was particularly taxing for someone weighing in at 280 pounds.

D’Onofrio’s impressive portrayal of the chubby, dumb and mentally disturbed Leonard earned him a lot of praise from critics but he also had to deal with fans who mistook the actor for the character.

“People treat you differently when you’re that size you gotta remember my head was shaved so it was like a completely different persona from me being this long lanky actor to a big burly guy with a bald head…it was a very strange life change.” The Broken Horses star continued, “It changed my life. Women didn’t look at me, most of the time I was looking at their backs as they were running away. People used to say things to me twice, because they thought I was stupid.”

One year later, the Magnificent Seven star had a full head of hair and his body was back to his earlier size.

Today, the New York-born director, producer, screenwriter and actor, who authored the 2023 book “Pigs Can’t Look Up,” credits his lengthy career to Kubrick.

“Stanley made my career, there’s no question to that I’ve done over 50 films, because of him. Because of that part.” D’Onofrio was referring to his numerous roles in both film and TV, most notably as a series regular on Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001 to 2011) and Marvel’s Daredevil (2015 to 2018). His films include starring roles in Dying YoungThe Break-Up and Jurassic World.

Vincent D’Onofrio wife and children

D’Onofrio’s life was greatly affected by his parents’ divorce when he was a child. His mother re-married George Meyer, a renowned American producer and writer.

As a result, the family moved to the Hialeah, Florida area. During his childhood, D’Onofrio was a reserved boy who often retreated to his room, lost in his thoughts.

While residing in Florida, he developed an interest in magic and the art of sleight of hand, skills he acquired from Cuban performers who operated a small magic store.

During the early 1990s, Vincent D’Onofrio was romantically involved with actress Greta Scacchi. They appeared together in multiple films during this time, such as The Player and Fires Within. From their relationship, they have a daughter named Leila George, who was born around 1991 or 1992, and she has since pursued a career as an actress.

In 1997, Vincent D’Onofrio tied the knot with Carin van der Donk, a Dutch model.

Together, they welcomed their first son in 1999. However, their relationship faced difficulties in the early 2000s, leading to a separation. They later reconciled and had a second son in 2008

In June 2023, D’Onofrio initiated divorce proceedings in Manhattan Supreme Court, marking the end of the 26-year-long marriage with Carin van der Donk.

D’Onofrio can be seen with Sandra Bullock in 2021 film The Unforgivable and the soon-to-be released comedy Dumb Money.

Vincent D’Onofrio was fantastic in Full Metal Jacket and his mental decline as Leonard is incredibly believable!

Life was a struggle for one baby girl born in 1995 after losing both of her parents. Her time in an orphanage was a nightmare, but everything changed four years later.

Michaela DePrince faced challenges and pain most people will never know. She had already been through immense suffering and abuse at a young age—the little girl saw no reason to survive.

Her vitiligo skin condition left white spots on her neck and resulted in insults from her local community in Sierra Leone. She was ridiculed and told that no one would adopt her.

Michaela was originally named Mabinty Bangura. She was born at the height of a civil war in Sierra Leone where her father was killed. Her mother died from an illness and starvation.

The girl did not remember her parent’s faces and had no memory of what the shared love of family felt like. After her parents died when she was only three, she was abandoned at an orphanage.

She Was Number 27 and She Wanted to Dance

Labeled the “Devil’s Child,” Michaela thought she was a monster and shared her experience growing up in an orphanage. She said, “They ranked us. Number one was the favorite child, and number 27 was the least favorite … I was number 27.”

She spent many days starving, and things seemed hopeless until she saw a photo of a ballerina in a magazine. Michaela was intrigued and longed to be happy and beautiful like the woman in the picture.

Michaela expressed, “It was not just the fact that she’s a ballerina. It’s that she looks happy. And I wanted to be happy and … if what she was doing made her happy, that’s what I wanted to do.” A seed was planted that changed her life forever.

When an American couple adopted her in 1999, she instantly told them she wanted to dance. The couple, who had lost three kids, were thrilled to welcome Michaela into their lives.

She Found a Loving Home

Elaine DePrince explained that she lost her children at the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. She and her husband lost one of their three sons at 15 and another at 11. But the couple still had love to give, so when they heard of Michaela and her painful story of being unwanted, they were more than willing to take her.

Elaine and her husband showered their new daughter with love, drove her to dance classes, and helped rebuild her self-worth. At first, the youngster struggled to accept her new circumstances.

Elaine remembered the first day she met Michaela. She said she walked towards her on her toes, with a magazine with a ballerina on the cover. From day one, the mother promised Michaela that she would become a dancer.

Michaela was grateful but had spent her entire life experiencing loss, rejection, and disappointment. Thus, she revealed, “I used to have to sleep with the light on. I was just terrified that if I turned it off when I would wake up, I would be in the orphanage again.”

She Proved Everybody Wrong

In time, Michaela settled into her new family and started working toward her goal of becoming a ballerina. She worked hard and stated, “The only way I could survive was … to prove everybody wrong.”

Her dancing journey came with challenges as she realized her skin color was also an issue for some people. Moreover, she was insecure about her appearance and worried that people would make fun of her.

Graciously, her adoptive mother assured her that the white spots on her skin looked like “pixie dust,” and she slowly turned her concerns into confidence.

At only 17 years old, Michaela was the youngest performer at the Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York City. The director, Ted Brandsen, was in awe at the girl’s willingness to succeed.

Her hard work paid off, and at 22, she was hand-picked by the iconic singer Beyoncé to put together a choreography for her solo appearance in her music video for the song “Freedom,” featured in Beyoncé’s well-known album, “Lemonade.”

Michaela proved everyone wrong and danced on stages worldwide. Her story encourages many people to keep dreaming no matter the circumstances.

Another Child Gets a Loving Home

Parents can’t always fulfill their duty of nurturing and caring for their kids. These children often end up in orphanages or foster homes, longing to be adopted. Randall was a teenage boy who had been abused and needed a loving home.

Thankfully, Casey Douglas and her husband were looking for a child to love in Texas. When their caseworker told them about Randall in 2017, they were interested immediately. Two years later, the adoption was official!

Randall and Michaela are immensely grateful for their adoptive families, who filled their lives with warmth and showed them what real love looks like.
