In December, Dion’s sister Claudette said the music artist no longer has ‘control over her muscles.’

A year after the My Heart Will Go On hitmaker was forced to cancel her world tour, her sibling, 74, suggested that it may be awhile before Celine returns to the stage.

Celine’s condition, which is progressive and incurable, causes the body to attack its own nerve cells and severely impacts mobility.

‘She’s working hard, but she doesn’t have control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she’s always been disciplined,’ Claudette told 7 Jours.

‘She’s always worked hard. Our mother always told her, “You’re going to do it well, you’re going to do it properly,”‘ Dion’s sibling added.

She continued: ‘It’s true that in both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage. In what capacity? I don’t know.’

While research about the condition is ongoing, the rarity of it means progress has been slow.

Claudette added: ‘The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is also a muscle. This is what comes to get me. Because it’s one out of a million case, the scientists haven’t done that much research because it [doesn’t] affect that many people.’

Celine’s family charity, Fondation Maman Dion, has been inundated with messages of support for the star.

Claudette said: ‘Some people have lost hope because it’s an illness that isn’t well known. If only you knew the number of phone calls the Foundation gets about Celine! People tell us they love her and they’re praying for her. She gets so many messages, presents and blessed crucifixes.’

Claudette previously revealed that despite working with ‘the top researchers in the field,’ her sister has seen little improvement in her health.

She told Le Journal de Montreal: ‘We can’t find any medicine that works, but having hope is important.’

In October, Claudette said Celine was not yet reliant on a wheelchair to get around and still planning to return to performing.

The source added: ‘Let them label their ‘special’ relationship whatever they want… the indisputable truth is they are enjoying spending more and more time alone together.’

Since connecting on the set of their hit comedy series, Only Murders in the Building, the duo have been forced to deny dating rumors on multiple occasions.

Last month, the Father of the Bride actor denied they were romantically involved during an episode of Club Random with Bill Maher, after he and Meryl put on a cozy display during several awards shows – including the AFI Awards.

‘We’re not a couple, we are just very close friends,’ Martin said on the popular podcast.

‘Well, you should because there’s nothing more powerful in Hollywood than a power couple,’ Bill noted.

A rep for Short has already previously denied that anything romantic has been going on between the pair.

‘It worked for Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, it worked for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie,’ the host joked.

The rumors swirled after the stars posed close during the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 7 and again on January 12 at the AFI Awards.

Once inside, the pals sat close and giggled up a storm while seated next to each other at the luncheon.

Robert Garrison Brown, known to many as Garrison, recently passed away at 25. The young man’s life was tragically cut short only two years after he purchased the home in which he met his end.

Known for his appearances alongside his parents, Kody and Janelle Brown, on the hit TLC series “Sister Wives,” Garrison was a familiar face to many. He had moved away from his family and was living independently in his own home in Flagstaff, Arizona.

On March 5, 2024, Garrison’s family shared the heartbreaking news of his passing on his Instagram account where he often shared picture updates. The announcement read, “Our beloved brother/son Robert (aka Garrison) passed away late last night. We appreciate the love and support from all those who have given it.”

Janelle, Garrison’s mother, expressed her profound grief on social media, sharing a photo of her son and writing, “Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him.” She further added, “His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away.”

The circumstances surrounding the young man’s death are tragic. According to the Flagstaff Police Department, officers responded to a report of a death at Garrison’s home on the morning of March 5, 2024. Upon arrival, they discovered Garrison deceased at the scene.

The cause of death appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department confirmed that Garrison’s younger brother, Gabriel, 22, discovered his body. Garrison’s passing came just over a month before his 26th birthday, marking a life that ended far too soon.

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Brown family faced a series of challenges. Over Thanksgiving 2021, Kody, the patriarch of the family, set out strict guidelines for his family on how to celebrate the holidays. He suggested that if his sons, Gabriel and Garrison, wanted to maintain their social lives during the pandemic, they should move out.

During an episode of “Sister Wives,” Kody expressed his concerns about visiting Janelle’s home. He felt that the active social lives of Garrison and Gabriel were potential sources of exposure to the virus. Kody proposed that Janelle should ask their older sons to leave the house, allowing him to spend more time with their younger child.

Janelle strongly resisted this idea, asserting that she wanted to let them stay at home. She shared that Garrison had returned home intending to save money to buy his own house. She explained to Kody that Garrison was close to his goal of buying a new home but lacked sufficient funds to move out immediately.

She stated, “I’m not going to kick him out this close to his goal.” During her argument with Kody, she revealed that Garrison didn’t have much of a social life and most of his friends had moved away, leaving him feeling lonely. She stood firm in her decision to let Garrison stay at home, despite Kody’s concerns about the potential health risks.

Garrison, however, decided to take matters into his own hands. In January 2022, Garrison, then 23, secured a loan of $336,000 and bought a house in Flagstaff, Arizona. The house, a two-story building with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, was located a short twenty-minute drive from Kody’s $890K home.

Before Garrison took the leap to buy his own house, he had embarked on a project to refurbish an old camper trailer. His mother revealed this in a post made in December 2020. This project was not just a testament to Garrison’s carpentry skills and creativity, but also a bonding experience for him and his brother, Gabriel.

They spent considerable time working on the trailer together, much to their mother’s delight. She expressed her excitement about the project in her post, stating, “I’m really excited to see his finished project. [sic]”

Janelle also shared Garrison’s love for carpentry when she posted a picture of him building a piece of wooden furniture and captioned it, “Garrison is building me a table! There is a long line of carpenters on my dad’s side of the family. Maybe he has picked up that torch. [sic]”

By June 2021, Garrison had completed the refurbishment of his camper trailer. He proudly shared pictures of his furnished van on social media, humorously captioning the post, “Livin in a van down by the river.” This accomplishment showcased his ability to transform a simple trailer into a comfortable living space, further demonstrating his carpentry skills.

Garrison’s journey, marked by his experiences and a deep-seated desire for personal space, eventually led him to establish his own home in Flagstaff, Arizona. In February 2024, mere days before his untimely passing, Garrison took to Instagram to introduce the latest addition to his household, a nine-year-old cat named Ms Buttons.

He revealed that he had saved Ms Buttons from euthanasia, playfully dubbing himself a “#crazycatlady.” Unbeknownst to him and his followers, this heartwarming post would be his last. Despite the challenges, Garrison had managed to carve out a life for himself. However, his relationship with his father, Kody, seemed strained.

Garrison previously shared, “Since I last talked to Dad, I have bought a house, gotten into a school, and acquired the car that I wanted, despite him telling me I should never get it.” When asked about his father’s awareness of these developments, Garrison responded, “No, he doesn’t care to.”

Kody revealed that he had been trying to reach out to his elder children, including Garrison, but they had blocked him. Following Garrison’s untimely death, Kody shared a heartfelt post on social media, expressing his deep sadness over the loss of his son.

As previously reported on March 5, 2024:

Garrison Brown made 2022 the year of independence as he secured a residence merely a twenty-minute drive from his father, Kody Brown’s, home, notably valued at $890,000.

Garrison’s new dwelling was modest yet inviting, spanning two floors with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfectly catering to his needs. Flooded with natural light, the 1,441-square-foot property featured fresh wood flooring and a welcoming fireplace on the first floor.

Additionally, the home included a small fenced-in courtyard and backyard, providing a serene outdoor space for relaxation and enjoyment. Records revealed that Garrison had taken out a $336K loan to finance his new Arizona home. He had agreed to repay the loan in full by January of 2052, embarking on the journey of homeownership at a relatively young age.

However, Garrison’s decision to purchase his own home was not without its own set of circumstances. His move came after a feud between Garrison, his mother Janelle, and his father Kody had reached its breaking point, with tensions escalating over family COVID rules.

Garrison’s decision to move out was a culmination of this ongoing conflict. Kody had imposed strict guidelines for celebrating holidays during the pandemic, insisting that if his sons wanted to maintain social lives, they should find their own living arrangements.

“I’m making all the sacrifices, and I’m asking everybody else to simply meet that level of sacrifice so that the family can exist,” Kody stated firmly, emphasizing his expectations regarding adherence to his rules.

However, Garrison’s compliance with his father’s rules had been inconsistent, leading to further discord within the family. He had disregarded Kody’s guidelines, prompting heated exchanges between family members.

During a particularly tense confrontation, Garrison challenged his father’s authority, expressing defiance against his directives. Janelle tried defending her son, claiming he was close to securing payment for a new home and had been saving in the past months.

Kody Brown retaliated, expressing frustration with Garrison’s behavior and indicating his intention to enforce consequences. “I tolerated a lot for a very long time until I realized that I was being lied to or deceived,” he remarked. “I’m on the verge of washing my hands of it. I’m gonna have Gabriel and Garrison move out of the house.”

Tragically, a year after moving into his own home, Garrison’s life came to a devastating end. Reports surfaced indicating that Garrison had passed away, with indications suggesting suicide. Authorities responded to a report at Garrison’s residence, where they found him deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Janelle confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media, mourning the loss of her son, who had been a cherished presence in their lives.

On May 8, 1964, the future celebrity was born in a Los Angeles hospital called The French Hospital, which no longer exists. When she was only 24 hours old, the star was taken in by Barbara Crane and Paul Gilbert, her adoptive parents.

The pair also adopted her younger brother, Jonathan. Paul was a stand-up comic, actor, and dancer but started as an aerialist with a family circus from Buenos Aires, Barbara was an actress in her twenties, but her career was short-lived. When the little girl was six, Barbara and Paul separated, with his daughter recalling him fondly, saying:

“My father was the most incredibly talented, vivacious, funny, loving, fair person I ever knew.”

In 1976, Paul passed on with people thinking he’d died from a stroke while sleeping. Her adoption wasn’t kept a secret. In her book, “Prairie Tale: A Memoir,” the star said she was told as a child that her biological mother, Kathy Wood, was a prima ballerina while her father, David Darlington, had been a Rhodes Scholar.

Her adoptive parents said her birth parents weren’t interested in giving up their careers to bring her up. The celebrity’s father was said to have been in the middle of a project, and the timing of the birth was off, so they gave their daughter up.

When she was old enough, she found out the real truth about her biological parents. Her birth mother was indeed a dancer but not a prima ballerina, and David worked as a sign painter and a stock car racer.

Both Kathy and David were initially married to other people, and each had three children. The pair ran off, got pregnant, and then moved in with their children but decided they couldn’t afford their seventh one.

Adoptive Parents Didn’t Want Her
After her adoptive father passed away, the actress was shocked to find more details about her adoption. Her godmother, Mitzi, delved into the day her adoptive parents fetched her from the hospital.

She confessed it was a shock when the Gilberts returned with their new child. The actress was surprised by this and, along with other family members, turned to look at Barbara, who admitted:

“I mean, we had no plans to adopt a child.”

Barbara said she and her husband weren’t looking for a child when they got a phone call that the little girl would be available. The star’s adoptive mother called her husband, who was on the road, and he told her to “‘go get it.'”

She told the interviewer that keeping such a deep secret wasn’t something she’d do to her children…
She was shocked to hear herself being called an “it,” but Barbara explained that at that point, she hadn’t been born yet. Later, Barbara told her they had been trying to get pregnant when they were informed about her impending arrival. The couple was going through fertility treatments, but until they received the call, the Gilberts hadn’t discussed the option of adoption, according to Barbara. In a July 2020 interview, the actress shared how secretive her adoptive family was.

The Family Secrets
While speaking to “CBS Sunday Morning,” the celebrity revealed that at age 11, she was told her father died from a stroke. However, at age 45, she discovered that he’d died by suicide.

The secret was kept from everyone in the star’s life, including herself. She told the interviewer that keeping such a deep secret wasn’t something she’d do to her children as such secrets were quite damaging to families.

The actress hired a detective to find out what truly happened to her adoptive father. The detective discovered that the late World War II veteran was in extreme pain while under VA care and threatened to commit suicide, which he did.

When she discovered the truth about Paul, for around six months, she couldn’t eat or sleep as she battled the pain of losing her father that way. However, she’s since accepted it and honors his choice while keeping his memory alive by becoming an advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

After feeling betrayed and resentful for a long time, the star also accepted and forgave Barbara for her choice to hide the truth. The name of the celebrity and what type of life she has now is revealed in the next chapter.

Who Is the Star Who Was Once Abandoned but Later Became a Well-Known Actress?
The actress is Melissa Gilbert, who is well-loved as Laura “Half-Pint” Ingalls Wilder from the beloved series “Little House on the Prairie” from 1974 until 1983. In July 2022, she released her memoir, “Back to the Prairie,” and now spends her time with her family.

The star confessed to being “blessed” and notes how she’s in a different place compared to her late adoptive father. Her wish is for Paul to have known the joy grandchildren brought and the love of a life partner who makes you feel safe, cherished, and heard.

Melissa is married to her third husband, Timothy Busfield, and in May 2022, they were grandparents to a combined eight grandchildren. In 2012, Busfield was dealing with his second divorce when he walked into an empty bar and saw the actress waiting for a friend.

The couple held a small ceremony in April 2013 in Santa Barbara, California, to tie the knot with Melissa wearing a Morgane Le Faye dress. Barbara was the one who suggested the brand’s Santa Monica store when her daughter couldn’t decide what she wanted.

In her “Back to the Prairie” book, she revealed that the private affair, where Busfield wore a blue suit, didn’t have guests, as it was just the two of them. The celebrity, who spent almost all her life in Hollywood, welcomed her first child son, Dakota Paul Brinkman, from her first marriage to actor Bo Brinkman.

Melissa’s second child, Michael Garrett Boxleitner, came when she married her second husband, Bruce Boxleitner. Busfield was also a parent of three children, Samuel, Daisy, and Wilson, and he and his wife now live quietly in a 14-acre Catskill Mountain cottage in New York.

A woman kept her wedding dress a surprise up until the big day. She chose an unconventional gown and couldn’t wait to show her loved ones. The response was unexpected, and she clapped back at the bullies.

Camille Lescai was a bride with a mission to make a statement on her wedding day. Her ceremony took place in November 2022, and she kept her gown a secret from her guests and bridal party, only asking everyone to wear white for the auspicious occasion.

Lescai’s request made sense when the attendees saw her walking down the aisle. She donned a gloriously unique creation valued at about $4,400, perfectly fitting her personality. However, the ecstatic bride’s decision wasn’t welcomed by many netizens.

She Bought the Dress of Her Dreams

A few days after Lescai’s magical Sydney, Australia wedding, she shared a short clip of the big wedding dress reveal on TikTok. The bride had about 300 followers, which consisted of friends and family. She was shocked when she discovered her post had gone viral.

Shocked by Her Video’s Popularity

Lescai’s blush pink dress garnered attention but for all the wrong reasons. With millions of views and countless comments, the bride and her dream dress became the target of online ridicule and hate. She shared:

“I was bewildered by the comments because I simply didn’t expect it to go viral. I’m not an influencer, and didn’t understand why so many people cared about what dress I wore or why they thought it was so controversial.”

Rude Comments about the Bride’s Unique Dress

Lescai admitted that she read through the comments where she saw how online users called her rose-colored gown “ugly,” “dated,” and even “trashy.” Someone told her they would not have gone through with the wedding if they were the groom.

People also questioned why she was “trying so hard,” and the rude comments appeared unending. One user wrote:

“My biggest fear is being a bridesmaid and the bride [wears something] like this, watching our reaction, and I need to pretend it looks good.”

Others compared her dress to toilet paper and said it was a “big no” in their books. However, Lescai still adored her dress and did not want other people’s opinions to taint her views.

Facing the Hatred Head-on

The bride had struggled with self-confidence during her teen years, but thankfully, she is in her thirties now. She was worried that the hate would affect other women who also wanted to wear a unique dress on their big day.

The bride knew many people who had also chosen unconventional dresses or planned to do so would be hurt by the hateful comments, so she did something about the bullying and faced it head-on.

Bride Responds to the Online Hate

Instead of shying away from the negative comments, Lescai posted a series of clips responding to the users who compared her dress to toilet paper, among other mean opinions.

She began by responding to nasty comments from accounts of people with usernames hiding their real identities. She believed they only had the guts to tear her down because of the level of anonymity, so she exposed them. Lescai explained:

“People might think that I should expect negative comments after posting anything online, but the flip argument [is] if you make nasty comments online, you should expect to be held to account. This was my way of taking the power back.”

Support, Love, and an Important Lesson

While Lescai brought the hateful comments to light and comically responded to her haters, she was also thankful for the many positive commenters and hoped her story would encourage others to be different.

Many online community members expressed gratitude toward the brave bride. Her videos inspired them, and they were thankful she taught the bullies a lesson. Users also praised Lescai and applauded her actions:

After Lescai’s response to the online hate, she noticed many of her critics had removed their comments. Hopefully, more people will think twice before tearing down others online. Well done, Lescai. Your unique style is stunning and inspiring!

It isn’t the first time Tom has left restaurant staff starstruck as in 2021 he visited Indian restaurant Asher’s in Birmingham.

He scoffed not one but two Chicken Tikka Masalas costing £19.45 each.

The actor took to Newhall Street in the ‘city of a thousand trades’ where he spent two hours at the restaurant, before leaving staff a generous £60 tip.

Employees of the business soon took to the Asher’s Twitter page to share the exciting news of having a served up their grub to a Hollywood A-Lister.

Tom, who will return as Impossible Mission Force (IMF) agent Ethan Hunt, in the long-running saga, filmed a car chase at Middleton Mine, near Matlock.

The actor and his team are in fact no strangers to Derbyshire, having also filmed scenes in Darlton Quarry, Stoney Middleton, in 2021, for the action film series.

What’s on the menu at Restaurant Lovage?

Beef Fillet with garlic butter, triple cooked chips, shallot, peppercorn sauce – £40

Herb Fed Chicken with cabbage slaw, turnip, kale, burnt onion, mustard sauce – £32

Filming for the eighth instalment – which will likely be called Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two – has started up again after the actor’s strike delayed the production.

Cast and crew had been prepping for the huge shoot in Derbyshire, lasting around a week.

Tom was seen driving at speed out of the mine and pulling a very long skid which brought a smile to his face.

The A-list actor later fist bumped some of the crew who had worked tirelessly since the early morning to ensure the scene was carried out safely.

The Mission: Impossible film series, beginning in 1996, is based on a 1966 television series of the same name.

Production on the eighth film had originally halted so that the cast could promote Part One, and then the strike began causing further delays.

Along with Mission: Impossible, Tom is flying back into action for a new Top Gun sequel after the massive box office success of the previous entry.

Tom will be back as Captain Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell, and Paramount, which will be producing again, is hoping to reunite him with his recent costars Miles Teller and Glen Powell.

The news that Tom is back in business with Paramount — where he has released many of his recent films — comes just days after he signed up for a deal with Warner Bros. to produce and develop new films for that studio, including movies he’ll star in.

According to Puck News, Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger is writing a script for the third entry in the series.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that director Joseph Kosinski is also expected to return after proving himself with the critical and commercial smash success.

Tom’s last deal with Paramount ended in 2006, despite his continued work with the studio, and the new deal with Warner Bros. is nonexclusive, which will allow him to still work with other studios.

However, he’s expected to be getting his own office on the Warners lot.

Tom and his costars helped lead the long-awaited sequel Top Gun: Maverick to nearly $1.5 billion in grosses, and the action film’s months-long stint in theaters help revive the theatrical business amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Although news of the high-flying sequel struck some as an attempt to blunt the positive publicity Warner Bros. was getting for scoring a Tom connection, THR reports that it has been quietly in development since the late fall.

Paramount didn’t comment on the development.

The face of the all-time hit show, “Roseanne,” finally made her long-awaited comeback. Returning from an extended hiatus, the actress has reentered the Hollywood scene with a fresh comedy show titled “Roseanne Barr: Cancel This!”

Additionally, there was more positive news for the star following the release of a new documentary detailing her extensive and intricate career. The comeback to the entertainment industry followed an insensitive comment she made in 2018 about Valerie Jarrett, a person of color and a presidential adviser.

After facing cancellation in 2018, the comedy actress openly shared that she had “lost everything.” This challenging time coincided with the beginning of the reboot of her previously successful TV show. Regrettably, after a controversial comment, television executives decided to cancel the reboot just as it began airing.

The sitcom star expressed feeling personally attacked when her character was killed off. Despite these setbacks, the comedy actress exhibited resilience, refusing to succumb to the challenges she faced.

Reflecting on the years post-2018, she revealed the discouragement of feeling silenced in every aspect of her life. Despite her efforts to seek redemption, she approached studio executives for an opportunity to apologize and provide an explanation for her actions, only to face refusal. She mentioned, “And they denied me the right to apologize.”

Fortunately, the actress got back up again and was open about her experiences between 2018 and now. She decided to step away from Twitter and redirected her focus to building a stronger presence on Instagram. Fans showered their support and affection, referring to the star as “fabulous,” “amazing,” and “absolutely gorgeous.”

The outpouring of positive comments flooded the star’s comment section, demonstrating a wave of encouragement and admiration after the 71-year-old revealed her makeup and loose long hair look. In line with her new-found confidence, she sent A$AP Rocky a message that read, “Call me when you get tired of Rihanna.”

This girl, who played the comedy star’s on-screen daughter in “Roseanne,” also commented on the explosive Tweet.

The sitcom actress posed with her new hairdo and nails, smiling broadly in an Instagram post. Bouncing back after the controversy, she appeared visibly delighted to be back, drawing compliments from Instagram users for the interview associated with the photographed moment.

The star endured the repercussions of losing her job and facing vilification from many former fans and co-stars, which took a toll on her well-being. Expressing a profound sense of isolation, she acknowledged feeling besieged from all angles. It appeared to her as though she was under attack from individuals driven by envy, seemingly eager to witness her downfall.

The sitcom star also said it felt like a personal attack on her after her character was killed off. For her, it was a message signaling they no longer desired her presence, a direct dismissal of the years of work she had dedicated to the endeavor.

She conveyed that she faced a unique situation, losing everything and having her life’s work taken by those she trusted. Despite this, there was a notable absence of public support from Hollywood, except for Mo’Nique, a close and courageous friend.

The star we’re referring to is none other than Roseanne Cherrie Barr, famed for being an actress, comedian, writer, TV producer, and director. Mo’Nique described Barr as her “sister in comedy” and referred to the infamous tweet as a mistake, stating she wouldn’t “put [Barr] on the racist list.”

She played a significant role in spearheading the show’s reboot and engaged in correspondence with Barr to confirm her willingness to be a part of it.

The award-winning stand-up comedian and actress further expressed, “My sister made a mistake and she said something I know she wishes she could take back. But what I would ask is we don’t throw her away.”

In addition to Mo’Nique, Barr garnered support from her “Roseanne” co-star John Goodman. He expressed missing her and affirmed his conviction that she was not a racist. Goodman also acknowledged that he was aware Barr was going through a difficult time.

When questioned about supporting Barr in June 2023, Goodman expressed no regrets. When asked if he would work with her again, he replied, “I don’t know. If she’d like to… I just don’t know. I miss her. I wish her well.”

Despite having survived being canceled, Barr mentioned it was a terrible time. She described it as a “witch-burning” and as “terrifying” times in her life, noting, “I would die many times.” While she is pleased to make a return, it’s understandable that she won’t forget the ordeal anytime soon.

In response to Barr’s controversial comments, numerous prominent Hollywood figures expressed their disdain for her words on social media. Facing a barrage of criticism, individuals ranging from Shonda Rhimes to Congressman John Lewis condemned her, accusing her of insensitivity and calling for an apology regarding her remarks.

This girl, who played the comedy star’s on-screen daughter in “Roseanne,” also commented on the explosive Tweet. She played a significant role in spearheading the show’s reboot and engaged in correspondence with Barr to confirm her willingness to be a part of it.

The girl we’re talking about is Sara Gilbert, who’s best known for playing Darlene Conner in “Roseanne.” Following Barr’s tweet, Gilbert took to Instagram to convey that neither the show-runners nor the rest of the staff aligned with the views expressed in the tweet.

Describing the tweet as “abhorrent,” Gilbert clarified that the TV show did not reflect the sentiments implied in the tweet. Barr responded to Gilbert’s statement, saying, “She destroyed the show and my life with that tweet. She will never get enough until she consumes my liver with a fine Chianti.”

During an exclusive May 2023 interview with Megyn Kelly, Barr shared her thoughts on Hollywood’s cancel culture. She openly criticized Gilbert, asserting that she had “stabbed” her “in the back” and “repeatedly twisted” the knife.

While Barr attributed much of her downfall to Gilbert’s statement, the latter responded, clarifying that her intentions were never to harm the actress. Gilbert expressed that the show’s conclusion was deeply saddening for her, emphasizing that she would always consider Barr as family.

Priscilla Presley’s son, Navarone Garibaldi celebrates his 37th birthday. After a life of hardships, including being abandoned by his father, losing his half-sister Lisa Marie Presley, and being used for his last name, Navarone receives a wave of well-wishes from the public.

Navarone Garibaldi, a musician and former lead singer of the rock band Them Guns, is best known for being the son of the famous Priscilla Presley. However, his life has largely been overshadowed by his mother’s husband, Elvis Presley, and their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, leaving him little opportunity to carve out his own path.

“A lot of people know about me, but they don’t know me,” Navarone said in an interview, and it couldn’t be more true.

It all began when Priscilla met Navarone’s dad, Marco Garibaldi, through friends. Shortly after Navarone was born, within the first month of his life, his mom received a call from an unknown number.

“He’s not who you think he is,” the voice on the line said regarding Navarone’s dad. All Priscilla could do at that moment was ask not to be contacted again before hanging up the phone.

“My mom pretty much said, ‘Don’t call here again,’ because she didn’t know what to do with that information,” said Navarone.

Later in life, when Navarone tried to dig into his father’s past, he stumbled upon a new disappointment — it turned out that his father was hiding his last name.
Navarone, as well as the rest of the family, thought that his father was a wealthy Italian, which was far from the truth. When a Brazilian teenager reached out to Navarone claiming to be his cousin, it became evident that Navarone’s dad had never come from Italy.

Marco had changed his last name from Garcia to Garibaldi out of fear that he would never make a career in Hollywood with a Hispanic last name.

When Navarone called his dad to confirm this information, he was met with a cold shoulder and a sharp “Lose my number.” That was the last time they spoke. And after 20 years, his parents broke up without ever getting married.

Navarone stayed tough like he always had since he was a kid. He got used to shady people and learned not to trust them easily. “I got in trouble more than everybody else because kids’ parents would find out who my mom was, and they’d want a reason to talk to her,” he said in an interview. “I wasn’t very comfortable with it.”
With all the tough times the family faced, Priscilla and Navarone had to stick together, looking out for each other and shielding one another from the world. On Navarone’s 37th birthday, Priscilla wrote a heartfelt message to her son.

“No matter how old you are, you’ll always be that curious young boy to me! You make me laugh, you make me smile, you make me proud, you make me scared, you make me nervous…but I don’t care. The journey’s worth every moment of beautiful time with you!” she posted.

Fans joined in to congratulate Priscilla’s son, wishing him all the best. Amidst the celebration, some users pointed out how alike to his mother Navarone grew up to be.

“You’re the male version of your mom. You’re two peas in a pod,” commented a fan. “Same eyes, two gorgeous-looking people, so much like you, Priscilla,” wrote another.

Navarone himself was touched by his mother’s good wishes, and replied, “Aaawe, sooo sweet. Thank you, mama. I love yooouu sooooo much.”

Navarone gets to celebrate his birthday, unlike his half-sister Lisa Marie Presley, who passed away in 2023. Similar to Navarone, Lisa Marie tried to make it in the music industry. However, they weren’t as close as they could have been, especially in the years leading up to her death.Navarone was the first to admit that things weren’t always smooth sailing between him and his sister. When Lisa Marie died in January, he wrote about their complicated relationship on Instagram.

In his tribute, he wished his big sister was at peace with her son Benjamin Keough, and her dad, Elvis. He added that he knew of his sister’s difficulties in the past years as well.”I wish things had been different between us. Regardless, you are my sister,” he wrote at one point.

When a decision on Lisa Marie’s estate came out, Navarone was listed as 1/9 of those to be granted a part of the trust. This fact was made public after Priscilla and her granddaughter, Riley Keough, reached an agreement over Lisa Marie’s estate.Earlier this month, Navarone appeared in an interview where he spoke about Lisa Marie and her hatred towards Navarone’s dad while he and Priscilla were together. He then talked about the time Lisa Marie and his father, Marco, met again in 2017.

At a barbecue Navarone hosted, Marco and Lisa Marie allegedly conspired to do something together. While Navarone refused to say what it was, he didn’t agree to it and warned his dad that if he continued, they’d no longer talk to one another.

Some fans felt Navarone was painting his late sister in a bad light. In his recent Instagram post, one user slammed him for speaking “poorly” of his sibling. The user asked whether he didn’t feel bad for speaking a certain way about his sibling so soon after their death. “I suspect they had good intentions with you,” the person added.

“You obviously suspect incorrect things,” Navarone said in a lengthy reply to a commenter. He added that he wasn’t about to change the way he felt about a person just because they’d passed away.

The user then acknowledged that Navarone was right. However, they hoped he’d one day learn to forgive his siblings. “It’s a journey to get there, but it will help you live a better life,” the person ended their comment.

Navarone then responded that he had nothing but good things to say about all of his nieces, to which another person clarified that the first user was talking about his siblings and not his nieces. Navarone has yet to comment further.

Meghan Markle put her most fashionable foot forward as she marked International Women’s Day in true Hollywood style by appearing on a celebrity-studded panel at SXSW – while her husband Prince Harry cheered her on from the front row.

The 42-year-old Duchess of Sussex joined actress Brooke Shields and longtime news anchor Katie Couric on-stage at the prestigious festival, where she was leading a panel discussion about ‘breaking barriers’ and ‘women’s representation’.

Beaming with pride as she walked out on stage, having been introduced to the crowd as Megan, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan then took her seat alongside her fellow panelists for the discussion – during which she candidly opened up about the ‘hatred’ she received while pregnant with her children.

The Duchess of Sussex, who traveled to Austin from her $14.65 million home in Montecito on Thursday, looked radiant in a silver-beige $1,000 Giuliva Heritage silk maxi skirt and matching $975 button-up shirt, a look that she accessorized with some chunky gold earrings.

Throughout the panel discussion, Harry, 39, was seen gazing up at his wife from the front row, joining his fellow guests in applauding Meghan – whom he joined for a date night on Thursday at the Austin venue of private members’ club Soho House.

Prince Harry was joined in the front row by the couple’s very close friend, Soho House mogul Markus Anderson, who was instrumental in bringing the Sussexes together in the early days of their relationship.

The Duchess began by gushing about her ‘excitement’ to be joining the panel, before going on to tout the many female-focused initiatives that she and Prince Harry work on through their nonprofit, the Archewell Foundation.

‘I’m so excited to be here and to be with such incredible women, so much brilliance on this panel and this is just such an amazing way to celebrate International Women’s Day,’ she said.

She then went on to discuss a wide range of topics, including:

  • Hatred she has received on social media, particularly when she was pregnant with her children, Archie and Lilibet
  • The need for more inclusivity and accurate representation of women and mothers in media
  • Fighting to protect children and young people from dangers of social media while praising Prince Harry for being an ‘incredible partner’ and ‘hands-on’ dad
  • Retold her story about leading campaign to change ‘sexist’ soap commercial when she was 11 years old

FIGHTING FOR BETTER REPRESENTATION OF MOTHERS IN MEDIA

When asked about the Archewell Foundation’s decision to fund a recent report calling for ‘true representation’ for mothers on TV, Meghan explained that she and Harry had chosen to get involved with the project for ‘three key reasons’.

‘My husband and I, our foundation helped to fund it because I think from our standpoint, and certainly from mine, there are three key reasons why it felt vital to see the information they were going to be pulling from this report,’ she said.

‘On a personal level, I’ve just always loved understanding women and our stories and our lived experiences and our shared experiences so I was really curious to see what the report was going to uncover.

‘Oftentimes as women, the way that we see ourselves is reflected back to us, sometimes accurately, and sometimes, much to our disservice, inaccurately, in what we see in media.

‘So to be able to have the findings to uncover what we can do to propel that, to make sure women are really feeling seen in a way that is reflective of who and how we are and how we move through the world, felt important.

‘From a philanthropic standpoint with our foundation, there is obviously a lot of work to be done in supporting women and moms. You can begin with paid leave.’

She went on to note that Archewell’s production arm is focusing more on its own representation of women and mothers ‘as it expands its slate’ of projects, both on-screen and in podcasting.

Meghan has her own female-focused podcast, Archetypes, which began as part of the Sussexes’ lucrative deal with Spotify, but has since moved to Lemonade Media, after the couple parted ways with the popular streaming company.

‘IT’S NOT CATTY, IT’S CRUEL’: OPENING UP ABOUT ‘HATRED’ SHE RECEIVED DURING HER PREGNANCIES

Meghan went on to open up about the hatred she received online while pregnant with her children, Archie, now four, and Lilibet, now two.

‘I keep my distance from [social media] right now for my wellbeing but the bulk of the bullying and abuse I was experiencing in social media and online was when I was pregnant with Archie and with Lili, and with a newborn, with each of them,’ she said after being asked about the trolling she has faced.

‘You just think about that and to wrap your head about why people would be so hateful. it’s not catty it’s cruel. Why you would do that when you’re pregnant or as a mom at such a tender and sacred time.’

She questioned how anyone could ‘do that’ to a an expectant or new mother – noting that much of the vitriol she was seeing online was coming from women trying to take down other women.

‘[It’s] women completely spewing that to other women and I cannot make sense of that,’ Meghan continued.

MEGHAN PRAISES HARRY FOR BEING AN ‘INCREDIBLE PARTNER’ AND A ‘HANDS-ON’ DAD

Having discussed the toll that online ‘hatred’ had on her throughout her pregnancies and in the early stages of motherhood, Meghan went on to discuss the ways in which the Archewell Foundation is working to ensure that women and mothers can feel safer and more supported online.

While opening up about the ‘dizzying’ impact that social media can have on a new mom, Meghan praised the ‘support’ that she receives from Prince Harry, describing him as an ‘incredible partner’ and a ‘hands-on dad’ to their two kids.

‘The effect that social media can have a new mothers… even just the lack of sleep because they spend all this time scrolling and scrolling,’ she said.

‘But it can also be really dizzying for them to see this portrayal of motherhood that looks so perfect, when we all know that it’s not perfect. We all know that it’s messy.

‘I’m fortunate in that amongst the privileges that I have in my life, I have an incredible partner. My husband is such a hands-on dad and such a supporter of me and of my family, and that I don’t take for granted, that is a real blessing.

‘But a lot of people don’t have that same level of support. So for us, it’s just trying to put the safeguards in so women, and moms especially, can not feel like they’re even more vulnerable when they go online, so they can somehow feel like they are going to a safer place.’

KATIE COURIC ASKS MEGHAN TO RETELL SEXIST P&G SOAP CAMPAIGN STORY FROM HER CHILDHOOD

One topic of conversation was how society can work towards making ‘the world more equitable’, a discussion that Meghan began by noting the importance of representation for ‘young girls’.

‘If you’re a young girl and you see yourself in a position of power or strength or leadership, you can believe that is possible,’ she said.

‘If you look out on the screen, or you look out in the world, and you see no one that looks like you, it is incomprehensible for most people to imagine that they can have that level of success or joy or strength.’

Former Today anchor Katie then asked Meghan if she would ‘retell the story about when you wrote that letter to P&G’, referring to an anecdote that the Duchess has told on multiple occasions about fighting against a ‘sexist’ Procter & Gamble commercial when she was 11 years old.

‘I don’t know if anyone… if everyone’s heard it, but it’s such a great story at a very young age,’ Katie went on, before apologizing for ‘disrupting the flow’ of the panel.

Beaming with pride, Meghan happily agreed to share the story with the crowd – having mentioned it at multiple events over the years.

‘I was 11 years old, about 11 years old, and I had seen a commercial on TV for a dishwashing liquid, and the boys in my class at the time… you know it said, “Women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans,” and the boys said, “Yeah that’s where women belong, in the kitchen,”‘ Meghan recalled.

‘And at 11, I just found that infuriating, and [so] I ended up writing lots of letters, I put pen to paper, and they ended up changing the commercial to “people all over America”.

‘It’s funny to look back at it now, because that was before social media where you have a reach that is so much greater, it was just an 11 year old with a pen and paper.

‘But it just goes to show that if you know that there’s something wrong and you’re using your voice to advocate in the direction of what is right, that can really land and resonate and make huge change for a lot of people.’

Meghan then concluded: ‘Your voice is not small, it just needs to be heard.’

The festival announced Meghan’s involvement in the panel earlier this week, billing the Duchess as a ‘visionary female leader’, while noting that she and her fellow guests would discuss ‘breaking barriers’ and ‘challenging stereotypes’ while speaking about ‘women’s representation in media and entertainment’.

‘Women’s representation in media and entertainment has come a long way, but there’s still much to be done, especially for women of color and mothers,’ the SXSW blurb about the panel – entitled Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen – read.

‘Social media’s omnipresence has raised the stakes, creating an often dangerous environment which has led to serious mental health issues for teenage girls in particular.

‘On International Women’s Day, we’ll hear from feminist and champion of human rights and gender equity, New York Times bestselling author, and co-founder of The Archewell Foundation and Archewell Productions Meghan, The Duchess of SussexEmmy Award-winning journalist and New York Times bestselling author Katie Couric; two-time Golden Globe Award-nominated actress, model, entrepreneur, and New York Times bestselling author Brooke Shields; and author, sociologist, pop culture expert, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant at Peoplism Nancy Wang Yuen.’

Meghan’s panel session is, according to the organizers, being presented by her and Harry’s Archewell Foundation in collaboration with The 19th, a nonprofit newsroom that reports on gender, politics, and policy.

Meghan and Harry are understood to have arrived in Austin on Thursday – when they were spotted grabbing dinner at the city’s Soho House location in a sweet throwback to their first date, which was enjoyed at one of the private members’ club’s London venues.

The happy couple were seen by onlookers, who told People that they seemed ‘happy and in great spirits’ during their dinner.

‘Harry was very animated throughout the dinner. They were super low key and seemed happy to be around the upbeat vibes at the lively venue,’ the anonymous passerby told People.

The Sussexes’ night out came almost exactly eight years after they enjoyed their first rendezvous at Soho House in London, a night they enjoyed so much, they even returned the following day, when they are believed to have snapped some intimate black-and-white photo of themselves laughing together in a photobooth.

Harry opened up about his first date with his wife in his bombshell memoir, Spare, admitting in the tome that he had actually arrived late at the venue, much to his horror.

‘Red-cheeked, puffing, sweaty, half-an-hour late, I ran into the restaurant, into the quiet room, and found her sitting at a small area on a low velvet sofa in front of a low coffee table,’ he wrote, before going on to gush how ‘beautiful’ he thought Meghan was upon seeing her for the first time.

‘I’d seen so many photos of her from fashion shoots and TV sets, all glam and glossy, but there she was, in the flesh, no frills, no filter… and even more beautiful,’ he said.

Harry’s appearance at the festival came just one day after a judge ordered that the Department of Homeland Security hand over sensitive material about the Duke’s immigration papers so he can review them and decide whether to make them public.

The development came after a hearing at the court in Washington, D.C. last month in which Judge Carl Nichols heard from the DHS and the Heritage Foundation, which is seeking to release the material.

The Heritage Foundation is seeking the release of the documents as part of a Freedom of Information request it filed last year following Harry’s confession in his memoir and in the Sussexes’ Netflix documentary that he had done drugs.

His admission sparked questions about whether the Duke was entirely truthful on his immigration paperwork – which requires entrants into the US to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the question: ‘Are you or have you ever been a drug abuser or addict?’

If the Duke did not tell the truth on his entry forms then he could be removed from the US or barred by a border agent.

In the latest update, Judge Nichols told the DHS that its arguments so far were ‘insufficiently detailed’ for him to make a decision.

He asked the agency, which oversees immigration, to give him declarations explaining the ‘particular harm’ that would arise from the disclosure of the Duke of Sussex’s visa application.
