Keith Urban wowed the audience at a Bee Gees tribute concert with a fantastic cover of ‘To Love Somebody.’ When the song was released, it was described as a “smooth, easy beat ballad” that “should put them right back up there at the top of the Hot 100.”

As Keith Urban sings his cover of “To Love Somebody” from the Bee Gees, a notable audience member sheds a few tears. That person was the legendary band’s lead singer and co-founder, Barry Gibb.

This emotional cover was the crescendo of “Stayin’ Alive: A GRAMMY Salute To The Music Of The Bee Gees.” A night of tribute performances to honor the talented band and its founding member.

And it was not just Keith Urban who appeared for the night. Ed Sheeran, Pentatonix, Demi Lovato, Little Big Town, and Celine Dion contributed. Still, none of those powerhouses hit quite as hard as Keith Urban that night.

For those who are not as familiar with the Bee Gees’ contributions to music, the band of brothers rose to fame in Australia but left an undeniable mark on the global stage.

The Bee Gees grew in popularity with the release of John Travolta’s “Saturday Night Fever.” Alongside hits like “Too Much Heaven” and “Immortality,” many of the songs for the tribute came from that soundtrack.

And even with such a strong setlist, none of the performances compared to Urban’s shiver-inducing cover of “To Love Somebody.” It was made all the more touching as the camera pans across Barry Gibb’s face as he shed a few tears.

His son surprised him by learning the song while Bublé was away on tour

Michael Bublé, 47, was left visibly moved as he witnessed his 9-year-old son Noah deliver a heartwarming rendition of his own song, ‘I’ll Never Not Love You,’ on the piano.

In the touching moment from 2022, Bublé shared a video of him singing as his son played the song’s melody, on his Instagram account.

Michael Bublé revealed that Noah had diligently practised the song while he was away on tour, explaining that his son had ‘worked so hard’ to learn the song and was ‘so proud of him’.

The proud father couldn’t help but express his emotion, captioning the post with the words, “More talent in his little fingers than I have in my whole body!”

In the video, Noah can be seen playing the piano as his father sings the lyrics to the song, telling his followers he was ‘getting choked up’ as he sang.

The Instagram video quickly garnered attention from fans and followers, who were equally touched by the loving father-son moment.

One commented, “As a mother to two boys, the look in your eyes fills me with so much happiness. Such pride! His talent and your smile.”

Another shared, “Playing music with your kids is one of the most amazing parts of being a parent. I was playing guitar the other day with my daughter and started ugly crying.”

Adam Lambert performed the live debut of “Mad About the Boy” on BBC’s celebrity dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday (Oct 9). The American Idol alum performed a mesmerizing jazz standard version of the Noel Coward song. Pro dancers Nikita Kuzmin and Carlos Gu performed a steamy Argentine Tango as Adam performed.

Sir Rod Stewart’s a certified charmer, but he won the hearts of fans all over again with this sweet moment onstage with his 94-year-old sister Mary. Sir Rod invited his dear sister onstage to rock out to his sentimental classic “Sailing” at a concert in front of Edinburgh Castle. The English icon and his trio of female backup singers were decked out in captain’s uniforms, and he sang his 1975 hit while hugging his sister as she sang along.

Mary was clearly stoked to be up there, and led the crowd in waving along to the beat of the song, as well as conducting the band after a bit of encouragement from her brother. You could see it meant a lot to both Sir Rod and Mary to sing the nostalgic tune together, and everyone onstage wore big smiles throughout. We are always here for a Sir Rod Stewart performance, and this show was certainly a very special one for the English star.

Sir Rod performed his set next to Edinburgh Castle on July 6, 2023, and 602,000 fans tuned in to watch the performance with his sister on YouTube. The song was a minor hit for the duo but later gained great exposure when Sir Rod released it on August 8, 1975, as the first single from his sixth solo album, Atlantic Crossing. The English star scored an international hit with the single, and it went to number one in the UK, Ireland, Norway, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

On December 14,  Kelly Clarkson joined Garth Brooks on The Kelly Clarkson Show for a heartfelt rendition of “Shallow,” originally performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in the acclaimed film A Star Is Born. Got Talent legend Susan Boyle’s been a public music figure for 15 years, and she’s had her fair share of pinch-me moments. There was the time she performed for Pope Francis at the Vatican in 2019. Or when she sang for the late Queen Elizabeth II at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Believe it or not, these instances weren’t even her first brushes with world leaders. In fact, four years before belting her heart out for Queen Elizabeth II, she did the same for King Charles (then Prince of Wales) and Queen Camilla (then Duchess of Cornwall).

Boyle was a featured artist in the annual Royal Variety Performance in 2010. For the occasion, she sang Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day”—something she’s mastered before, but this rendition was particularly special. Backed by a children’s choir, Boyle epitomized grace and divinity with each crystal-clear note. Of course, the performance was met with a rapturous applause from the audience, including King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Susan Boyle: 15 years of music superstardom

It’s been 15 years since Susan Boyle’s viral Britain’s Got Talent Audition, where she sang “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables and completely stunned the world.

“I’ll never forget this,” BGT creator Simon Cowell (who also was a Judge during Boyle’s Audition) said. “I was having a terrible, terrible day, and I remember saying, ‘I really, really hope she’s not gonna sing,’ because there were so many bad singers that day and I thought, ‘I just can’t take another one.’”

“Our expectations were quite low, but she is the perfect example of never judge a book by its cover,” Cowell continued.  “She is just the most incredible person. This was a lady who lived on her own in Scotland, and she came on the show and everything changed. Because up until that point, there was a perception that you had to look this way, or be this age, and she just changed the rulebook. Full stop.”

Adam Lambert returned to the American Idolstage to perform Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody” alongside Season 18 contestant Dimitrius Graham Sunday.

Though they performed a truncated version of the classic track, Lambert and Graham did not skimp on any of the bombast. The pair traded verses early on while Graham did an excellent job anchoring the famous opera section while receiving an assist from a small choir of back-up singers. With digital fireworks blazing in the background, Lambert and Graham roared through the song’s ending before bringing it to a close with the poignant refrain, “Nothing really matters, nothing really matters to me.”

Lambert famously auditioned for Season Eight of American Idol with “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and on the season finale, he and eventual winner Kris Allen sang “We Are the Champions” alongside Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor. Following a string of solo albums, Lambert reunited with May and Taylor and began touring under the moniker “Queen + Adam Lambert.” The group is set to embark on a North American tour July 10th in Vancouver.

As for Graham, the budding singer made it to the Top 10 of the competition, but was eliminated just before the Queen special, on which Lambert served as a mentor. The finalists for Season 18 of American Idol were Alejandro Aranda and Laine Hardy, with Hardy winning the competition.

Released in 1965, “I Got You Babe” by Sonny and Cher, topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and became the anthem of the early hippie movement. Decades later, Adam Lambert and Cyndi Lauper sang this song at an awards ceremony to honor Cher, whose career blossomed glimmeringly.

Adam and Cyndi gave the audience a memorable performance, leaving them in awe. The crowd was instantly captivated, rising to their feet to join in the fun, singing and dancing along. Adam, famous for his soaring high notes, chose to honor the original melody, which made for a beautiful rendition. The enjoyment between the two performers was evident.

It’s interesting to know that Cher was present in the house. Like the audience, she loved this duet so much. The legend was visibly moved, joining the crowd in a standing ovation and cheering enthusiastically for Adam and Cyndi.

This rendition was mesmerizing because it was covered by truly talented singers. At over 60, Cyndi Lauper has been in the entertainment industry for almost as much time as Cher. Her music video for her 1983 song “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” was considered one of the best music videos of that decade.

On the other hand, Adam Lambert, who gained fame as the “American Idol” runner-up in 2009, has rapidly risen to stardom with his dramatic flair and impressive vocal range. He duetted with some pretty big stars like Queen and Rihanna.
