Don Diamont is a father of seven boys, so he is not surprised to have welcomed a boy as his first grandchild. Alexander Diamont, his oldest son, became the first parent out of all the boys.

Alexander married his wife Audrey Diamont on July 23, 2022, and they announced their pregnancy in August of the following year. Coincidentally or not, the baby boy was named August.
August is a name with Latin origins. It means “great” or “magnificent.” While the name is not gender-neutral, it is sometimes used for girls. It is also said to be an ancient Roman name.
As Don Diamont welcomes one more boy into his big family, he had once opened up about his past tragedies. The actor lost his dad and older brother before becoming a parent to seven boys.

“I was profoundly hurt and affected by my dad and brother being taken from me so soon. I didn’t see it coming. It was not how I envisioned life,” he said in an interview.
“I thought they’d be there to meet my wife, my children, and to share experiences. That was just gone almost in the blink of an eye. Those scars remain. I wanted children. I wanted back what was taken from me. I wanted to recreate that. I have been rewarded many times over,” he continued.
Diamont is rewarded once again with the arrival of August into his family. The actor still welcomes his stepsons from the previous marriage to Rachel Braun. He considers Lauren and Sasha part of his family.
“It was crucial for me that these guys understand that I was leaving their mother but I wasn’t leaving them. I will always be there for them. I’m here, and I’ll always be here,” said Diamont.

With his first grandkid on the scene, Don Diamont is over the moon about his growing family. As he works in daytime television, he would have time to spend with his grandchild as he once said, “My wife and I, we’re homebodies. Working in daytime has allowed me to have a very normal, more or less 9-to-5 kind of a life.”
