The royal family frequently appears in the media, with certain individuals standing out more than others. Edward was given the title Earl of Wessex on his wedding day, and then received the title Earl of Forfar as a birthday present from Queen Elizabeth II on March 10, 2018.
In 2017, Edward started to assume some of his father’s responsibilities as Philip was unable to fulfill certain tasks because of his old age. Edward is now notably in charge of the Commonwealth Games Federation. He now oversees the Duke of Edinburgh Award, which was established by Prince Philip in 1956, in addition to taking on his father’s responsibilities. Ever since Prince Edward assumed responsibilities from his father, he has traveled extensively around the world in various roles to supervise projects.
